"Yes, I'm the owner of this house," Qiao Mei said in a gentle tone as she looked at the neighbor.

"A while ago, a man came to your house. He knocked down the door and hasn't come back to repair it. He said his name is… Daniel and he asked me to tell you about his visit when I see you," the man said.

"Alright, thank you." After saying that, Qiao Mei looked at the house helplessly.

He could have just repaired the door if he knocked it down, right? Why did he have to take the car? Besides, she thought she had the car key? Why did he still have a key to the car?

Many questions filled Qiao Mei's mind. She wished she could grab hold of Daniel and give him a good scolding!

She had come back in a hired car just now. There were no buses or taxis which served this area, so how was she supposed to go to the city to look for Daniel? Was she supposed to walk there?
