The sirens wailed outside the building.
Elijah only acknowledged it with a glance of his eyes, ignoring the constant buzzing of his phone. His eyes narrowed a little, dark with evident malice, but his lips lifted into a soft smile.
"How troublesome," he said, "Saki-san really thinks calling some cops is a good idea?"
"It's not just them," she responded, getting up from the seat, "You also have some guests from Orion High."
"Bunch of kids?"
Elijah scoffed.
But this time, Saki smiled instead. Ever since she had met him, this was the only time she showed an actual reaction. The confidence was evident in her eyes.
Her voice was light yet firm as she stated.
"Don't forget those kids still remain one of the biggest rivals of Orion High."
Elijah slightly raised his chin, "And what proof they have? How are you going to tell them or the world about a secret many tried and failed to reveal?"
