With her heart pounding in her chest, Melissa took hold of Eva's arm and pulled her away from Adelle's room. She led the way to Eva's own room, her mind racing with a mixture of anger, confusion, and concern. Once inside, she turned to face her daughter, her eyes blazing with fury.
"Eva, just what do you think you're doing?" Melissa demanded, her voice shaking with anger. "You almost killed your sister!"
