Chương 12: PLAN II

I'm returning to the capital city. I'm not going to get back this easy when I am just going with Daniel. because he is a merchant who travels from to town Tulip is a bit far away from here, and we'll have to stop in at least eight towns and cross two mountains to get there. Yes, this is the quickest way back.

I nodded at the Marquess and smiled wide open.

I just want to see my friends not as Yule, but as Adelle. I can't wait to see them.

Time has passed, and my stomach is full. Daniel appears to be sad when I gaze at him.

"What's the matter?" I asked him and then he looked at me.

"Am I able to see you again? I am, right?" he said.

Oh, maybe he's unhappy because I'm going back to my hometown. Well, he can visit me while he is in the Capital City for work. now that I think about it, isn't midnight? his old man must be angry by now.

"I --" I cut what he was saying

"It's almost midnight, and you stated earlier while we were leaving the forest that your old man must be upset waiting for you." I reminded him and he looked really shocked.

"Oh right! I almost forgot. My Lord, Lady Adelle. I must go now. Thank you for the meal" and stand up.

We escorted him out to the villa. Marquess command Rey. his right man to escort Daniel back to Eudaimonia City. I waved at the carriage to say goodbye to Daniel. As I was going to enter the house, I asked the Marquess what reward Daniel wanted. he looked at me and smiled

"Nothing, he wants nothing and I persuaded him to accept the gold that I offer. but he refuses to take it." Marquess said. that kid has a kind heart. But still, I expected him to take the gold at least, but he didn't.

"That boy said, 'I just want one wish, and promise me you'll fulfill it.'" The Marquess remarked, "That child is truly something."

Hmm. I wonder what Daniel wants to wish in the future. But who knows, I hope that kid grows strong and his enthusiasm stays in his heart.

"Adelle, come with me to the office," Marquess said solemnly. I followed him while he led the way until we reached his office.

He asks the servants to prepare tea for both of us.

"Please have a seat, my daughter," he urged, and I sat in front of him.

"Is it true that Daniel found you in the forest stuck in the ice crystal?" he asks me and looks concerned. I nodded in response.

"After that, you don't remember us? you don't remember anything?" he said.

"I don't..." I merely replied, and he stood up and walked back and forth. I simply keep my gaze fixed on him. He appears solemn.

"How did you get into the forest by the way? how did you get into that ice? do you happen to encounter some mage and attack you?" he questioned me nonstop. how do I respond to his inquiries? even I, don't know what happened.

"I don't know, I just woke up and realized that I'm stuck on the ice. other than that, I don't remember anything, even who am I" I said it to him honestly, because it's the truth.

"We'll ask for help to know what's happening to you. he must be here tomorrow I assumed. We'll ask for help," he said and rushed towards me.

"You'll be okay. you don't have to worry about anything," he said and hugged me tightly.

Who will be coming? He must be powerful if the Marquess seeks his help.

"For now, go relax. I'm sure you're exhausted and bewildered about what's going on, but I promised, it'll be okay," he said as he carried me back to my room.

He kissed my cheek and murmured, "Goodnight, Adelle." I see him leave the room.

I close my eyes.

There's so much to do...

I wonder what Adelle was like?

how can I possess her body?

Whether it's possession or rebirth, I need to know.

After announcing that he would be stepping down from the post of captain. Because of what he stated, the King is enraged. However, the King consented, and at the age of 19, Master Guildart designated me as a Captain.

I questioned my abilities to be in that position. I filed a petition stating that this cannot be proper, but the King has commanded otherwise. I was enraged at Master for entrusting me with such responsibility at such a young age.

He then moved away to conduct his research and lived on Beaumont Mountain.

Perhaps Master has all the answers in this circumstance. I want to live a life free of regret, I declare.

But if I died again and couldn't have the answer, I'd be lying if I said I'd lived without remorse.

"Milady, it's time to wake up," says the servant as I stretch my body. She drew back the curtains. I stand up and wash up

"What color do you wish to wear, Milady?" she inquires. I turned around and walked toward the closet, where I noticed a range of dresses. It all was lovely and vibrant.

I didn't get the chance to wear one of these when I was a child. Before, I wore a completely dirty clothes

As I pick the most beautiful one. a pink long ruffled sleeve dress with a black ribbon on its waist, I find it cute.

She helped me dress up and brushed my hair, and when I looked in the mirror, I was amazed at how lovely the dress was. I turn to my servant and ask about her name.

"My name is Kaniz, Milady," she replies and I smile at her.

"Thank you for helping me."

"Milady, the breakfast is almost ready," she said and before I got out of my room to go to the dining hall, I heard a commotion going on outside.

"My lord! Milady is not ready yet!" after I heard that, there was a heavy footstep walking towards my room.

*slam*

I was shocked, and startled since the door opened so suddenly.

"Adelle!" I heard a man yell. and my eyes widened when I saw who it was.

What in the world?!

How did you find me!?
