Henry Russell looked at the pale-faced Charlotte Cooper lying in bed, and his heart ached. He couldn't imagine what would have happened if he had arrived one step later.
Feeling guilty, Henry vowed to himself that he would find the person who had hurt her, and see who dared to lay a finger on his people right under his nose.
He glanced briefly before instructing his assistant, "Have you found the mastermind behind the attack on Charlotte?"
The assistant didn't know how to respond, having found only a fat man at the scene who seemed to be deliberately hiding something.
"Boss, we did catch someone at the scene, but they won't reveal anything when we interrogate them."
After saying this, the assistant lowered his head, knowing the boss must be angry.
Henry looked at him, "Isn't there any way to make him talk? Seems like you've wasted your years working for me."
The assistant held his breath and didn't dare to speak.
