"So you didn't reject the sight of a pretty woman!"
"I was waiting for you so we could go home together." Henry Russell replied indifferently.
Charlotte Cooper was initially fuming, but these words considerably diffused her anger.
"I hope that's the case. By the way, is that woman your junior? Is it possible that she was so fond of you and never pursued you?" Charlotte inquired in a somewhat jealous manner.
Being chased by such a beautiful woman, Henry Russell must have been thrilled, even if he didn't respond to her affections.
"She pursued me before, but I didn't pay it any mind." Henry Russell admitted honestly.
"She actually chased you?" Charlotte raised her voice, "How exactly did she pursue you, explain!"
Observing Charlotte's jealous countenance, Henry found it amusing and replied thoughtfully, "She didn't exactly chase me. She just held a confession ceremony at the school, booked a Michelin restaurant, gifted a sports car and such."
