"Didn't he transfer? What is he doing here again? Does he want to get beaten this time?" Maya said looking furious enough to punch him at that spot.

"Let bygones be bygones. That happened two years ago. Let's forget all of these things and concentrate on our studies," Sarah said in a bored tone.

"Only if he tries to behave perfectly this time. If he goes around you begging for forgiveness then I am going to beat his shit out" her words stopped in the middle when her eyes fall on her ex, Chris.

He looks like he has lost a few pounds and the dark circles under his eyes were the evidence of his sleepless nights.

Something inside of Maya's heart tugged at his vulnerable state.

"Don't, Maya. He isn't worth your love nor your sympathy," Sarah said dragging Maya away from there.

Chris belonged to another section. Hence, the meetings between them weren't as frequent after their breakup.
