It was probably because Crown Princess Elennora felt guilty in his heart, and that was why he wasn't feeling well right now. The guilt seemed to be eating his heart, and he felt like someone who just lost his heart right now.
He didn't even know what kind of expression he was making now, but he could see that King Gerold was looking at him with concern.
It was true that King Gerold did force him to lie and even pretend to be the Crown Princess, but Elennora could feel his father's affection for him.
Since he was little, he knew that his father loved him very much. Unlike his mother who continued to treat him coldly, his father tried to give all his love as if to compensate for the lack of love from his mother.
That was the reason why he felt bad when he saw his father's gloomy expression.
"I will escort you to your palace, my dear," King Gerold spoke again, breaking his son's chain of thought.
The King did want to protect his throne by asking his son to lie to the people, but Elennora knew that the King had no ill intentions toward him. So, he couldn't bring himself to hate his father.
"No need, Your Majesty. I will return to the palace myself," Elennora replied weakly.
The pair of blue crystals were still staring at his brown ones grimly, and he even needed to take his eyes off the sad gaze that belonged to his father.
"I know you don't want to do it, Elennora," the King spoke again. "But you already agreed to save me and your mother, so I'll make it up to you. If you want something, you just have to tell me. I'll grant your every wish, Elen."
Elennora suddenly sneered even though his head still felt dizzy. "Didn't you hear my oath just now, Your Majesty? I said that I did it only for the sake of my people, and I did not say that I did it to save you and the Queen."
The cold-hearted Elennora returned, and he spoke coldly to his father, causing his father to lower his head in guilt.
Elennora could see the pitiful expression, and he chose to avert his eyes before speaking, "I was being impolite just now. My apologies, Your Majesty."
Hearing his son's apology, King Gerold looked at his son again. "Take some medicine and join me at the party, okay? The other Kings are waiting for you. They want to congratulate you in person."
Elennora felt like laughing at himself when he heard his father's orders. Just two minutes ago his father had said that he would grant all his wishes, but now it was his father who voiced his wish and begged him to grant his wish.
It was rude, but Elennora turned around and started walking away from his father without uttering any words. Heading to the stairs, he went straight down the stairs. When he reached the ground again, he saw Bianca was waiting for him.
He knew that he shouldn't blame the senior maid, but after learning the truth, he was also annoyed with Bianca. Bianca was the only maid who had full access to his palace and even to his bedroom, and the reason behind that was because she knew the secret about him.
The King was the one giving orders, and Elennora knew that Bianca could be the one the King trusted because she knew the King's dark secret.
Elennora had been ignoring the senior maid since yesterday, and today, he didn't want to talk to that maid either. Walking straight past the maid, he missed Bianca's sad expression.
However, the senior maid decided to walk at high speed to keep up. "Congratulations, Your Highness! You are finally the Crown Princess of Grinia now. I heard that the palace for the Crown Princess is ready, and you can move to your new palace at any time."
Bianca was talking about the Crown Princess' palace in such an excited tone, but Elennora didn't look interested at all.
The Crown Princess of Grinia would stay in the Palace of the Crown Princess, the palace where the previous Crown Princes lived. The palace was bigger than the Princess's palace, but Elennora had no interest in it.
"I will only take some medicine in my palace and will come back here again. You don't need to follow me," instead of responding to the maid's statement, Elennora asked the maid to stop following him.
Once again, there was a hurt expression on the maid's face, but she chose to obey the Crown Princess' orders to stop following the Crown Princess.
Bianca had known Elennora since he was a baby, and she knew the boy's character very well. Even if Elennora didn't say anything, she could also tell that Elennora already knew the truth.
Meanwhile, Elennora knew that Bianca had stopped following him, and he sighed heavily before removing the crown from his head. Right after the crown was no longer on top of his head, he didn't feel dizzy anymore.
Sure enough, the weight of the crown was too heavy for his head, causing him a headache.
Elennora knew that he didn't need the medicine, but he still continued walking toward his palace. And history repeated itself when he bumped into someone in the same place he bumped into someone yesterday.
Fortunately, he was able to balance himself today, and he didn't fall to the ground from the collision. However, the crown slipped from his hand, and it was flying through the air now.
While widening his brown eyes, he tried to run and jump to catch the crown, and at the same time, the person who had just bumped into him also did the same.
Elennora managed to catch the crown, but his hands were also caught by another pair of hands. Feeling the warmth in his hands, the pink-haired boy shifted his gaze towards the owner of the hands. His brown eyes widened right away. "It's you again?" He questioned the person in shock.
Elennora finally met the 'servant' who bumped into him in chapter 6.
I will update this book every Monday and Tuesday, so please look forward to it! ;)
