Chapter 02: The Jump

— Noire Virvaris —

Going over my belongings, I sigh as I pick only two fancy dresses to take with me.

I have an enchanted backpack that can carry far more than should be physically possible, but it has its limits. I don't want to fill it because then I won't have room to put new things in it.

Let's see, I have my spellbook, my father's grimoire, and several blank notebooks. Several sets of fine clothes, plenty of undergarments and nightwear and several more clothes made for travelling in. After all, my usual clothes aren't durable enough for the wear and tear of adventuring.

I've also got a dagger and longbow, Elven-made. My mother taught me to be proud of my heritage, and while I may be a spellcaster at heart, it doesn't hurt to know how to fight without magic.

Some monsters and even some people have incredible magic resistance, and I won't be caught defenceless by becoming too reliant on my spells.

I've also packed the whip Carah gave me; I haven't managed to work it out yet, and I don't like leaving mysteries unsolved.

One of the pouches has several healing potions and an assortment of other elixirs, but potions are expensive even for a Princess, and they're needed by the knights who defend us against the Wilds' incursions, so I don't take too many.

I have dry rations for two weeks, more if I supplement them with harvested berries, mushrooms, or flowers, but while I know the flora of Lotchwain, that might not carry over to another world. Plus, I can hunt to stretch them out even further if I need to. I've also taken some luxuries: a few bottles of fine wine, boiled sweets, chocolate, spices, and more of the like.

Finally, I have a small tent and a bedroll, along with some foresting supplies; I don't know how close to civilisation I'm going to end up after all.

After a lot of thought, I decided that I'd jump worlds. I was tempted to stay in Lotchwain for now, but I realised something. I'm nervous, I don't want to leave the comfort of my kingdom.

But that's not going to help me become powerful enough to defend Eldraine, I need to leave this world, to jump into the deep end before I become too comfortable here, or worse, complacent.

Shaking my head, I continue cataloguing my belongings.

I'm as excited as I am nervous- or perhaps it should be the other way around?

Yes, I have no idea where I'm going to end up, but there's a certain thrill to that.

I've always loved travelling, it probably comes with just how long I spent cooped up in the castle.

Before I reached my teens, I would only ever leave the castle with my mother on diplomatic trips or join her when she visited our towns and villages.

I hated it, to be honest, the stifling nature of being constantly watched, never allowed to travel or explore on my own. I understand now, over the years I've learnt of a dozen or so assassination attempts, from various sources, and there's probably so many more that I don't know about. Maybe they came too close to succeeding and my mother didn't want me to be scared.

When I got older, she relaxed and let me have more freedom, but even then I could never really travel that far or for that long, and never out of Lotchwain. Not to mention, I always had a group of knights to babysit me. Well, either a dozen knights or Syr Konrad: my mother's greatest champion, and my occasional lover.

It wasn't exploration or an adventure, just a guided tour through Lotchwain.

I still loved it, watching the forests and plains from my tower is one thing, but there's only so much you can see when you're in the clouds, and you can't listen to the call of a songbird when it's just a picture, or taste the berries you just picked, or even smell the flowers.

I studied every book on flora and fauna in Locthwain before my 'adventures', but it's entirely different to read about a jackalope than it is to spend ages hiding in the bushes, waiting for one to come out and take the bait you left for it.

I love nature, there's something freeing about being so far from my tower, usually covered in mud, soaked to the bone, and grinning like a fool.

I would come home, take a long bath, and usually by the next day I'd already be bugging Syr Konrad to take me on another hunting trip. He's the one who taught me how to use a bow, I might love animals, but hunting is just another part of nature.

It's one of the things I'm looking forward to, seeing what the wilderness of other worlds looks like. I haven't even seen the wilds of the other Kingdoms yet, but I will in time. I'll even explore the Wilds, as much as I despise what it stands for. The Wilds are an eternal threat to the kingdoms, and once I have the power to do something about them, I will.

For countless years, the Wilds have threatened all I love, constantly encroaching on the kingdoms as their denizens have schemed our downfall. It makes it worse that some of those schemers are my family.

Elves used to rule the land, enslaving the humans until an uprising overthrew them and led to them fleeing into the Wilds to avoid the wrath of the freed humans. My mother helped that uprising, it's why she is the only Elf still in power.

But they aren't satisfied with their kingdom deep in the wilds, and between them and the other races lurking in that enchanted forest, they want to see the kingdoms fall. I won't allow it.

But I digress, I was thinking about the different flora I'll encounter in the worlds I'll travel to, not my future enemies.

It's why I have so many notebooks, I won't be able to rely on my previous studies and experience, so I'll just have to start again. Hopefully, the other worlds will have books on the subjects, and reading them won't be a problem. Knowledge is power, after all.

I learnt the Comprehend Language spell years ago. I speak Common, Elvish and some Sylvan, but there are plenty of languages in Eldraine alone that I'm not fluent in yet and that spell helped, and will help me a lot in my studies.

I also have my lute, my violin, a chess set, and some painting supplies. A girl needs hobbies, relaxation is an important part of the learning process, you don't want to overwork your mind.

Finally, currency.

I don't want to take too many gold coins from Eldraine, because while gold is gold, I can't count on them being accepted. So I gave it some thought and came up with a solution.

Looking down at the cumbersome gaudy gold necklace with too many jewels on it, I chuckle and toss it into the pouch I've designated for my trade goods.

Charles, you're finally good for something.

I have more than a few pieces of gaudy, tasteless or downright hideous pieces of jewellery that certainly cost more than most peasants make in their entire lives, and I won't miss them.

I'm sure I can find someone to sell them to or use them as gifts or bribes. Just because I have standards doesn't mean everyone does.

If nothing else, they have large jewels in them, and I can have them melted down to sell the jewels and precious metals themselves. I also have a bunch of actual jewels as well, but I'm fairly attached to my gemstones and I don't want to sell them.

I'm vain, I can admit that. I like having my collection. My mother even joked that I must be part dragon as my hoard grew more and more, but I just like them.

Is it logical? Not really, but I'm a princess. I'm allowed to be illogical about the little things. It's called being eccentric, and it's all the rage if you're wealthy or powerful enough to not just be called weird.

I think that's everything, which means all that's left is to take that final step and leave this world.

As a Planeswalker, I can connect with the Land, I don't understand it in truth, but it seems to have something to do with core traits of my personality aligning with aspects of nature. So far, I've found exactly one place I can connect to, Castle Locthwain itself.

I did it (after asking permission from my mother of course), and it seems I can teleport back there no matter where I am; an unbreakably strong connection to my home.

I think I will be able to use the Lands I've bonded with for something else in the future, but for now, it's just there in the back of my mind, a beacon to make sure I find my way home.

I'm actually somewhat thankful that I can't take people with me yet, and it is a yet, because if I could, I'd be tempted to take some knights with me, but how would that be any different from my guided tours? I know I could get a dozen knights willing to protect me to their dying breath if necessary, but I won't.

No. I won't grow if I spend my adventure hiding behind my mother's knights. Perhaps I'll find allies, servants and maybe even friends in another world, but that's for the future. If I do, they will be allies I make, servants who serve me not because of who my mother is, but because of who I am. Until such a day, I will travel alone.

Not that I have a choice in the matter for now. Thankfully I can take Nátt with me since he's magically linked to me. I'd be lost without my faithful familiar.

"I see you're preparing for your trip. May I ask when you intend to leave?" my mother's voice queries, making me jump as I shake my head. I was lost in my thoughts, and perhaps worries.

"Tonight. I don't want to put it off," I admit as I turn around, seeing her smile sadly as she walks forwards, placing her hand on my cheek.

"I must be honest, it is difficult to let you go. I always knew this day would come, and I've prepared you as best I can but it is always hard to see your precious baby bird truly leave the nest for the first time," Ayara admits, my eyes widening slightly as I press my cheek against the palm of her hand. "Are you so eager to leave?"

"It's not that, the longer I stay, the less I'll want to leave. I've half-convinced myself to adventure in Locthwain to begin with, but I think I need to do this, to take the first leap," I admit, making her smile proudly. "Don't worry, Castle Locthwain is my home, I will return, and for you, it should seem like seconds if my father was telling the truth," I say, making her smile.

"I know, but the planes are infinite and full of threats, I fear for you as any mother should, but I won't stop you. You will be Queen one day, and far more powerful than me. I won't hinder your growth out of fear," she says, kissing me on the forehead as I smile.

We've had our differences, but I truly love my mother and I know she feels the same.

"Do you at least have time for a meal together? I've sent away those seeking my audience for today," Ayara asks as I smile.

"Of course, I'd be happy to. I don't know what world I will find myself in, it could be the last decent food I'll be eating for a while," I say, making her chuckle.

"Indeed, but I know you'll be fine. You've always been resourceful," Ayara praises, she's not usually this open with compliments, which leaves me with a little blush on my cheeks. "I have had our chefs make a meal worthy of the High Kings of old, today is a day of celebration after all, not mourning."

Forgetting about my packing for now, I follow her to the private dining room. She wasn't lying about the banquet, and as the servants start to bring in the food, but what surprises me is when one of them brings a bottle of wine and two glasses.

I rarely drink, and only at events like my birthday do I have more than a single glass. That's the court version anyway. In honesty, I do very much like fine wine, and it was a cause of contention between me and my mother when I was younger. Let's just say Drunk Noire isn't the most rational person, and after a slight diplomatic incident, I was banned from drinking outside of public events.

I ignored that, drinking in secret in an act of teenage rebellion, and she's caught me more than once. She's never drunk with me, and while she hasn't stopped me from sneaking a bottle or two now and then, she's been vocal in her disapproval of my drinking habits.

"You're an adult now, and is it such a bad thing to want to share a drink or two with my daughter before she leaves? It may be seconds for me, but I don't know how much older you will be when I see you next," Ayara explains, pouring us both a glass as I chuckle.

"And if I happen to get tipsy, I'll just have to stay here and delay my adventure by a day," I say, making her smile as she hands me the glass.

"If you wish not to partake, I won't be offended," she says as she gestures for the servants to leave us, and the bottle.

Giggling slightly, I take a sip of the ancient vintage, watching her smile.

"Excellent. Then let us eat, my dear, and then you can ask me all the questions you have about your father, the ones you've been hesitating to bring up," she says, making my eyes widen in surprise before I laugh.

She taught me how to read people, she also taught me how to hide what I'm thinking, so of course I'm an open book to her.

Putting my glass down, I buy myself some time to think of where to start as I cut into the roast beef before me, taking a bite and closing my eyes in pleasure.

Over the meal, I end up learning a lot about my father, from tales of his magical and martial prowess to entertaining stories about his utter lack of patience with those who interrupt his 'lazy time'.

I learn that he has a harem made up of countless lovers, made up of every species imaginable. I learn that I have many sisters, and apparently no brothers. I'm slightly bitter that I have grown up without ever even hearing about them, but I won't let it mar this night, and as the empty bottle is taken away and replaced, she starts to open up more.

She's not drunk, just loosening up a bit, but honestly? I'm starting to get drunk, though my pride refuses to let me tap out while my mother is still drinking.

As we finish our meal and drain our glasses, and she turns to me, smiling slightly.

"Are you okay, my dear, you're looking rather flushed," Ayara asks as she stands up, making me shake my head as I rise myself.

"I'm fine, that wine was just a little stronger than what I'm used to," I admit, making her smile.

"I was going to invite you back to my room to continue our discussion, as I don't think you're in any condition to jump planes as you are," Ayara says, making me smile even as my mind wanders.

Getting me drunk and inviting me back to her room? My, my~

It's ridiculous of course, but the thought is still there, as I follow her back to her room, taking a seat at one of her incredibly comfortable chairs.

Taking a glass of water to clear my head as my mother briefly leaves to do something, and as she returns with a new bottle, she also places something familiar in my lap.

"Those clothes are good for travelling, but if you're not leaving tonight you may as we'll be comfortable, my dear," my mother says as she passes me my nightgown, pausing as she chuckles. "I attempted to find you a modest one, but evidently you don't have any modest sleepwear," she teases as I blush slightly, looking at the lacy and see-through white nightgown.

"I can't sleep if I'm wearing too much, I get flushed," I admit, before pausing as she walks over to one of her wardrobes and opens it up, my eyes widening slightly as she slips out of her own dress, proving that I'm not the only person in the family who doesn't wear a bra.

Even from behind, it's clear that her breasts are bigger than I thought, perhaps a size or two larger than my own and as she pulls out her own nightgown, a silky black piece that comes to her upper thigh, my eyes wander over her long pale legs leading up to a very firm ass wrapped in black lace.

What am I doing? Shaking my head I look away as she turns around, smiling.

"You aren't the only one who doesn't like wearing stuffy clothes in bed, I have to wear dresses in my every waking moment, I don't want to sleep in them as well," Ayara admits as she walks back towards me,

Despite my best efforts, my eyes briefly roam her body and I can only blame the drink as she sits down, her legs shifting enough for me to briefly get a glimpse between her legs, a hint of purple drawing my eye.

I've always thought my mother was incredibly beautiful, she's said to be the most beautiful of all the Elves after all, but seeing her let her hair down dressed in such a revealing nightgown sends my thoughts wandering down a dangerous road.

I've always been an amorous drunk.

"Would you rather stay dressed in those? I assure you, you don't need to stand on ceremony, I've sealed the room so nobody will be wandering in," Ayara says as she opens the bottle with a click of her fingers, pouring two glasses as I stand up and shake my head.

"Sorry, I think I should have eaten before I drank," I say, making her chuckle as I undo my own clothes and quickly get changed into the risqué white lingerie.

"Ahh, I had no idea my daughter was such a lightweight," Ayara teases as I sit back down, well aware that my nipples are poking against it, easily visible.

"I'm not a lightweight," I grumble, making her laugh again as she picks up the second glass and offers it to me challengingly.

"I believe I taught you to never make claims if you can't back them up, my dear. Nothing tarnishes faith and destroys respect faster than undeserved boasting," Ayara says, smiling at me challengingly as I take the glass. "This, my dear, is a wine made from grapes found deep within the Wilds, it's incredibly rare in the kingdoms and I have been saving it for a special occasion. It is very potent, do you think you can handle it?"

"I don't know, but that's not going to stop me from trying," I admit, pushing down the urge to claim I can handle it.

"Fortunately, there aren't any diplomats for you to drunkenly run over this time," Ayara teases, making me blush.

"That- okay, that was a mistake and I don't know if I ever said this but I'm sorry for the trouble I caused," I say, making her smile gently.

"Thank you, dear," Ayara replies, before smirking slightly. "In truth, now that some time has passed, it's just a mildly amusing memory. It caused quite the debacle at the time, but I smoothed everything over. I was probably overly harsh with you, so I am sorry as well."

"Heh, he looked so surprised," I say, taking a sip as my eyes widen, the taste of wild berries and something I can't recognise flooding my senses.

"A drunken, half-naked teenage princess ran him over on her equally drunk giant four-legged raven. Surprised is an understatement," Ayara adds, smirking herself as she sips from her own glass. "How you even managed to get enough wine to get Nátt drunk has still eluded me."

"Oh, I let him drink from my glass while he was in his bird form, he liked it," I added awkwardly. "Maybe a little too much."

"Indeed, now where were we?" Ayara asks, pausing before she smiles. "Ahh yes, I was telling you about the time your father met the High King."

Continuing her story, I sip slowly as time passes quickly, my mother telling me stories of her own adventures through Eldraine when she was younger and regaling stories of other worlds she heard from my father, and as she does I realise my mistake.

This wine is stronger, but it doesn't hit you immediately, and because it tasted nice and didn't really seem to do anything else, I finished my own glass quickly.

And then my second, as my mother watched, letting me dig my own grave as a learning experience most likely, and when it hit, it hit hard.

As my face grew flushed, my mother paused as she looked over at me, smiling slightly in amusement.

"I warned you, my dear," Ayara replied as I went to stand up, stumbling slightly as she rose and easily caught me before I fell to the floor.

"Mhm fine," I mumble into her nightgown, face pressed against her chest as she giggles in amusement.

"Oh? Can you stand up then?" she asks, watching me reluctantly move away from her, swaying slightly as I look around proudly. "I think it's bedtime for you, followed by a morning of regret," she teases as I shake my head, frowning.

"N-nope," I reply, popping the p as I look at her. "I- I am fine, it's just- why is it so hot?"

"It isn't, it's actually a rather cool night," my mother replies, making me frown again.

"Nooo, it's hot. Too hot," I say, grabbing the bottom of my nightgown and pulling it over my head, tossing it aside as she sighs.

"Do you lose your clothes every time you get drunk?" Ayara asks, making me pause.

"N- maybe? Not every time," I mumble, making her sigh fondly.

I know what I'm like when I drink, and I make sure I never drink too much in public, and that I have someone I can trust around to stop me from damaging my reputation.

"Well, I think it's-" she starts before I move forward and wrap my arms around her waist, cuddling against her. "Noire, it's time to head back to your bed and go to sleep."

Shaking my head, I just cuddle against her harder, nuzzling my head against her as she sighs, returning the hug.

"I suppose this is my fault, but we'll be talking tomorrow about knowing your tolerance. You can't go wandering the planes, getting drunk and letting people take advantage of your momentary weakness, in more ways than one," Ayara lectures, before signing as she sees me pouting up at her. "Oh, very well. Just tonight won't hurt."

— Ayara, First of Locthwain —

She might have made a mistake, but Noire needed to know her limits, and her fondness for wine was one of the few glaring weaknesses her daughter had.

She wasn't an alcoholic, not by any means, the fact that she kept her calm at every ball proved she could stop herself, but it was still a weakness.

So she'd decided to teach Noire the importance of knowing your limits the same way her own mother had for her. By letting her drink far too much and deal with the horrific hangover the next day. Pain was a good teacher.

But she'd made a minor error in her little scheme as she laid down on her bed, her cuddle bug of a daughter immediately snuggling against her.

"Love you, mom," Noire whispered as she magically turned out the light, looking down at her daughter as she laid on top of her, Noire's head resting on her breasts.

"And I love you, my dear," Ayara replied, stroking her hair before she paused, watching Noire sit up, sitting on top of her stomach and staring down at her. "Lay back down, it's bedtime."

Tilting her head, Noire smiled down at her as she lowered her head back down, their faces incredibly close as Noire stared into her eyes.

"Noire-" Ayara started before she was cut off, Noire leaning forwards and pressing her lips against Ayara's, her eyes widening in shock as Noire's tongue slipped into her mouth.

Frozen in shock, she watched Noire close her eyes and lean into the kiss for a moment before she pulled back.

Before she could decide what to say to her intoxicated daughter, Noire moved lower and grabbed her nightgown, pulling it up as Ayara's eyes widened.

She could stop Noire from stripping her easily, but she also didn't want to hurt her, and in truth, the wine had muddled her thoughts, though far less than it had Noire's as her nightgown was yanked over her head and tossed away.

"Noire, I think-" Ayara started as Noire smiled down at her.

"You're beautiful," Noire whispered, her words somewhat slurred as she reached forwards and gently grasped one of Ayara's breasts, squeezing it slowly as her thumb circled Ayara's nipple.

Oh dear, so this was the kind of drunk her daughter was? That'd be embarrassing for her in the morning.

She'd been Kuro's lover far too long to be particularly bothered by some girl on girl action as her husband would put it, even if it was her beloved daughter currently playing with her breasts.

Leaning forwards again, Noire opened her mouth and wrapped her lips around Ayara's nipple, making her moan slightly as he felt her daughter's tongue swirling around her nipple, Noire's other hand slowly moving down her stomach and sliding towards her panties.

Deciding to spare her daughter any further embarrassment in the morning, she calmly cast a sleep spell and watched as Noire immediately stilled, making her chuckle as she pulled her daughter away from her breast, pulling the quilt over them.

She knew her daughter well enough to know tomorrow would be a day of regret and embarrassment, but that too was a good lesson.

Besides, it had been years since she shared a bed with her daughter, Noire claimed she was too old for it when she became a teenager, and she'd missed cuddling with her adorable daughter.

— Noire Virvaris —

"You can't hide under the blanket all day," My mother says as I pull her quilt over my head and groan.

"Then make the light go away," I say, peeking out at her before being filled with immediate regret, the light coming in from the open window burning my eyes.

"That is the sun. It means it's time to get out of bed," my mother says, mercilessly pulling my warmth from me as I hiss. "And this is why you need to know your limits, my dear. It won't do for you to get that drunk when you are away from Locthwain, now get up and face the consequences of your actions."

Turning to her, I feel my face burn as I spot a purple stain on her lips and still exposed breast, matching my lipstick perfectly.

I really hate drunk Noire sometimes. She's a horny idiot and never thinks about the long term consequences of her actions.

"I don't wanna," I argue childishly, pulling a pillow over my head as she chuckles.

"Then do you also not want this hangover relief potion?" She asks, making me pause as I lift the pillow up slightly, making her giggle again as she puts the bottle on the edge of the bed. "I have a meeting to prepare for, you may sleep in until the servants arrive to clean my room at midday. Please at least put your nightclothes back on before then, as little as they cover."

"I will," I say as I quickly down the potion, sighing in relief as the sun ceases its crusade against my eyeballs.

"Excellent, then once I am done with today's work, I believe we need to talk about last night," Ayara says as I wince.

Damn you, Drunk Noire.

"Can we not?" I ask, making her laugh again as she heads towards her personal bathroom.

"No."

Grabbing the quilt again, I decide I don't want to deal with this, and I pull it back over my head.

I had kissed, stripped and molested my mother, the Queen, and my personal idol. Yes, I've always thought she was astoundingly beautiful, but she's also my mother. What was Drunk Noire thinking? Oh wait, she wasn't.

I hear her come out of her bathroom a short time later, peeking out from under the quilt and spotting her walking towards her wardrobes wearing just a towel which she drops calmly, faced away from me as I get a perfect view of her curvy backside as she bends down to get something from a lower drawer.

I immediately feel my already ruined undergarments grow damp again as I hide my head back under the quilt again.

You know what?

I actually have a plan to deal with this particular problem.

Firstly, I put my sleepwear back on and go back to sleep to wait for this potions to kick in, and remain asleep until the aforementioned servants come to tidy up, waking up and quickly taking a bath myself before I put my travelling clothes back on and head to my room, grabbing all my things.

I don't have to discuss my attraction to my mother, with my mother, if I just leave Eldraine and deal with it much later.

Running from my problems is actually a viable strategy here, because I need time to work out what on Eldraine I'm feeling anyway.

Summoning Nátt back to me, I make sure to go over all my things one final time, being well prepared is half the battle.

I'll have to face the music when I return, but I want some time to work things out. She didn't mention it beyond saying we needed to talk, she didn't even seem angry, but it still doesn't mean I'm in a rush to deal with it.

So, calling on my powers I take a step forwards and walk through the very barrier that separates my world and all the others, countless tiny lights surrounding me as I look around the void, some are different colours, but I don't understand what the colours mean so I pick one entirely at random and take another step, clearing the immense distance and bypassing the barrier around it with contemptuous ease.

My vision blurs for a moment before clearing again, making me blink as I look around my new location.

The almost swampy forest surrounding me isn't particularly dense, but it does seem to go on for quite a while as I frown slightly.

I have no idea which way to go.

The first thing I should do is find the locals, information is power and I have so very little of it at the moment, so I need to find civilisation, assuming there is anyway.

"Nátt, fly around and see if you can spot any roads or buildings," I say, making him caw as he sets off into the air.

I could have him take his true form and ride him over the forest, but I don't really want to. I've seen the world from above the clouds more than enough. Also, his true form is intimidating and I don't want to cause any problems or have my first encounter with the locals end in violence.

Nátt actually finds a road fairly quickly, but it's quite the trek away from where I am, so with a smile I set off towards it. He keeps flying to look for any signs of habitation or travellers as I walk, my boots already covered in mud thanks to the swamp-like muddy floor but I have a spell to clean my clothes later, there's no point cleaning myself when I'm still in the forest.

I can hear the sounds of small wildlife skittering around but I don't actually see anything as I walk through the forest, which puts me on edge.

I can see several bushes with berries in them, and plenty of plant life, so if animals are avoiding this area then it's for a particular reason.

My concern only grows as I come across a pond, and still don't see anything. Food and water, and I haven't seen or heard any animals larger than a squirrel?

Maybe things are different in this world, I don't know. My experience tells me that if this was Locthwain, it'd be a monster's lair.

Animals aren't dumb, if they're avoiding an area it's because there's something in that area that needs to be avoided.

Casting Mage Armour, I look around my surroundings with more attention, waiting for something to leap from the bushes and attack me. Nátt tells me he's spotted four humans moving down the road, which distracts me for a moment as I borrow his vision for a second, spotting the people he mentioned.

One is dressed in high-quality armour of medium weight, another is visibly a mage. The only male in the group is dressed in rather unusual clothes, the green and black outfit covering his entire body and clearly made from some strange almost shiny material, but he has a sword as well. Only one of them isn't openly armed, wearing a very short sleeveless blue dress as she seems to complain at the male of the group.

It's embarrassing then, that with all my caution and worry, my brief distraction is all that was needed to catch me off guard as a slimy dark green tentacle sneaks out of the pond—which is much deeper than I originally thought—and wraps around my leg.

While I'm using my familiar's senses I'm not using my own, except touch. The second I feel the slimy tentacle tighten around my leg, I drop the connection and open my eyes as it drags me towards the pond, three yellow eyes on stalks peering out of the water at me, the monster rising from the water as it opens its massive maw, countless sharp fangs and an incredibly long tongue moving towards me as my eyes widen.

I'm too used to having guards with me, protecting me while I share my familiar's senses, but as another tentacle wraps around my waist and lifts me from the ground, moving me towards the mouth I scoff.

I made a mistake, but that doesn't make me defenceless, and with a click of my fingers my body disappears in a silvery mist, the creature roaring as it's tentacles are suddenly empty.

Reappearing a short distance from the pond, I immediately psychically lash out at the monster with Mind Whip, making it roar in pain as its mind is damaged, preventing it from moving towards me.

Mind Whip makes it nearly impossible to focus on more than one thing at once, you can't move and attack at the same time, but the monster makes its choice as a much thicker tentacle lashes out at me with incredible speed, striking me in the stomach and sending my flying me back, slamming against a tree.

If I wasn't wearing three different magical artefacts and a spell meant to protect me, that could have seriously hurt, the force was more than enough to shatter my ribs, but instead it just hurts and winds me, the monster shaking its head and moving out of the pond as I ride to my feet.

Mind Whip only lasts a few seconds, even if it does some serious damage to their mind with every cast, and all it seems to have done is anger it.

As it sends three of its tentacles my way, I Misty Step again, that's a somewhat draining spell and it doesn't have the greatest range, but watching the tree I had my back to get shattered by the thrashing tentacles, I know I made the right choice.

Deciding I need some help, I call for Nátt to return as I start a conjuration, watching as a spirit in the form of a large brown bear appears in front of me, charging the monster without hesitation as it attempts to protect me.

Pouncing forwards, it follows my mental command as I cast a second spell, three identical copies of me forming around me. Biting into where the thickest tentacle meets the massive body, the bear makes the monster roar in pain as it tries to tear the tentacle from its body, the other tentacles wrapping around my summon.

It hasn't forgotten about me as a single tentacle lashes out again, trying to restrain me again, but it can't tell which of the copies is the real deal and as it wraps around my Mirror Image, it simply shatters as I move away.

Ha, get fucked. That never fails to be funny.

My bear ignores the monster's attempts to crush it and bite deep into the tentacle and rips it from the base, making it roar in pain again.

Unfortunately, it's also bigger than my bear and quickly finds a way to deal with it as the creature simply shoves my bear into its mouth, closing its fanged maw and tearing my bear's head off.

The fact that my bear dematerialised upon its death just makes it angrier, now denied a meal twice as it turns to me.

Throwing my hand out, I send a burst of freezing air towards it, watching as the pond freezes over, ice forming on the monster's skin and restraining it as I use my other hand to throw up a magical shield, a flailing tentacle bouncing off it, shattering it in the process.

Rime's Binding Ice clearly pisses it off as it starts thrashing around, trying to break the thick ice from its large body, but reducing my opponent's ability to fight is something of a speciality of mine.

Throwing my hand out again, I watch as a shimmering, nearly-transparent, sphere bursts out from the monster and makes it roar in pain as its tentacles are forced to the ground, gravity around it increasing tenfold. While it's stuck in place, I form a few orbs of purple energy and toss them at it. Magic Missile doesn't care about the increased gravity as my orbs all strike the beast in either its three eyes or right on the gaping wound where its tentacle was ripped away.

Whispering under my breath, I try to terrify the beast but it doesn't work, likely simply too filled with adrenaline to care about my Dissonant Whispers. Its thrashing finally breaks the majority of the ice as it charges towards me, each step taking additional effort thanks to my sphere, but the sphere isn't that large, and while it gives me a chance to throw more orbs at it, it escapes unfortunately quickly.

Sending every remaining tentacle at me at once, I throw up another shield and watch as the first tentacle harmlessly bounces off it, the second one doing the same, though the force is enough to break my shield and the beast proves surprisingly smart.

Instead of going for any one of me, its remaining tentacles split up and go for all three of us, both illusions shattering as two tentacles manage to strike the real me, wrapping around my body as they pin my arms to my side.

Instead of trying to eat me again, it simply lifts me into the air and immediately smashes me down against the ground face first.

One of the tentacles wraps around my head, and that is a big problem. Misty Step works on line of sight, with the slime-covered tentacle around my skull, I can't see anything.

That doesn't make me defenceless as another tentacle wraps around my leg, but this is going to suck.

Creating a mote of flame in my hand, I drop it and brace myself as the mote hits the ground, exploding into a ball of roaring flame.

My cloak and mage armour protect me from the worst of the blast, but that doesn't mean I escape my Fireball unscathed, a scream of pain leaving us both as I feel my own flames burn my face, luckily the tentacles actually gave me some cover so it doesn't hit my eyes.

But the monster? With a roar of confusion, fury and agony it tosses me aside, sending me flying into another tree as I quickly look around trying to find somewhere to teleport to.

But what I see makes my eyes widen, a blonde woman wearing white and yellow armour charging the monster with her sword in hand, as the group I saw before arrives, Nátt flying towards me as I shake my head, I want to keep his true form hidden for now.

The man and the blonde woman run forwards, though I can see the hesitation in the man as he steps forward and swings at one of the tentacles, cutting into the already smouldering flesh. The blonde attacks another tentacle, but the monster's flailing makes her sword miss entirely.

They aren't doing much in truth, but what they are doing is buying me time, and every second they give me is a precious gift.

Rising to my feet, I glare at the monster as it swings at the woman, making her groan in pain as it smashes against her armoured chest (or was that a moan?).

I've never cast this spell in a fight before, but I know how to use it. Lifting my hand to my temple, I focus as I project my rage and pain towards the monster, forming a lance of purple light that shoots forwards and strikes the bastard.

Psychic Lance is the highest level spell I have, and as it strikes the creature it does the job, it's wounds finally taking it down.

As it dies, information enters my mind. 'Juvenile Froghemoth'.

Wait, Juvenile?

Turning to the four people, I take a deep breath and hide my anger and pain, even as the blue-haired, blue--clad girl moves towards me after prompting from the only male in the group.

— Kazuma Satou —

Watching as the mystery girl lowered her hand, the abomination falling to the ground as a pink spear pierced its skull, he paused as she turned to him.

"Are you okay? Here, let me heal you!" Aqua shouted, making the girl pause as Aqua immediately cast her healing spell, the one thing she was actually good at, making the burns on the girl's head fade away, a smile breaking out on her incredibly beautiful face. Aqua paused after finishing healing her, staring at the girl in confusion.

He almost didn't notice her lazy hand gesture, making the mud, slime and blood on her fancy cloak fly off her and spatter onto the ground, staring into her purple eyes as he gulped slightly.

He could almost feel the jealousy radiating off the girls as she magically cleaned her clothes in seconds, but as she turned to him he ignored them entirely.

"It appears I owe you my thanks, not many would come to the aid of a complete stranger," she said, her accent just screaming upper-class as she smiled at them.

"It's fine, adventurers should stick together. What were you doing out here, all alone?" Darkness asked, the hopeless crusader might be a complete degenerate, but when she wasn't getting turned on from her imagination going wild at the slightest opportunity, she was a good person. "This place isn't safe, the forest is filled with monsters."

"Hm, it's nice to see some things never change. I didn't come here deliberately, I had a bit of a magical mishap, and landed here," the girl said, smiling sheepishly. "If I may ask, what do you mean by Adventurers? I am certainly on an adventure, but you made it sound like a title."

"Eh? You're not a part of the Adventurers Guild?" Darkness asked, making her shake her head.

"I am not, but where are my manners? My name is Noire Virvaris, Princess of Locthwain, just starting on an adventure," Noire said, curtsying as she pushed her hood down, revealing two pointed ears as a raven landed on her shoulder, cawing as it butted its head against her cheek.

An Elven Princess?

No, calm down Kazuma. This wasn't like his anime, saving an Elven princess would normally be a total romance flag, but he wasn't that lucky.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your highness, I am Darkness, an adventurer from Axel. I don't think I've heard of-" Darkness started before Aqua interrupted, the useless goddess pointing at Noire accusingly from where she'd been staring at her, her finger almost touching Noire's nose.

"You're not from this world! How did you get here? Was it Eris?!" Aqua half-shouted as Noire's eyes widened ever so slightly, not in shock at Aqua's inane babbling but in surprise.

"That's correct, I'm from the world of Eldraine. You must be rather talented to have noticed my otherworldly status so quickly, but I don't think I've ever met an Eris," Noire said, watching as Aqua immediately changed her tune, looking smug at Noire's praise.

Noire was from another world like him? Was this fate?! No, calm down. She was definitely as weird as the others, she was just hiding it.

"Well, it's natural for a Goddess like me to be able to tell. Which God sent you here then?" Aqua asked, making Noire's eyes widen again before they gained a strange glint.

"Nobody sent me here, I am capable of travelling the planes without divine intervention, but this is my first time travelling between worlds, so I couldn't control my destination," Noire admitted, smiling again as Aqua paused, he could practically hear the dial-up tone going on inside her head.

"You claim to be from another world?" Megumin asked, making Noire turn to the younger mage, giving her a once over.

"I do, surely a fellow mage is aware of the infinite planes? A lot of high-level magic involves dealing with them after all," Noire asked, making Megumin stumble, the slightest hint of a blush on her face.

She had no idea, did she? Of course the explosion obsessed idiot hadn't bothered to look into anything that didn't blow up.

"Ufufufu! I am no mere Mage. You stand before an Arch Wizard, the strongest of all magic classes! My name is Megumin, the finest Crimson Demon dedicated to studying the ultimate magic!" Megumin started, the chuunibyou hiding her embarrassment with an over the top speech.

"An Arch Wizard? At your age? You must be incredibly powerful indeed," Noire said seriously. "I'm merely an apprentice myself, but I've been studying magic under my mother, one of the greatest spellcasters in Eldraine, since I was but a child."

"How many spells do you know?" Kazuma asked, wanting to confirm something. "Also, hi? I'm Kazuma, we're all adventurer's from the city of Axel."

"Truly a pleasure, Kazuma. I only know around fifty spells, but as I said I'm still learning," Noire admitted, looking almost embarrassed as Megumin's eyes became as wide as dinner plates.

"And how many can you cast a day?" Kazuma asked, making her pause.

"Well, I suppose it depends on how advanced they are, usually I can cast a dozen or so before I start to feel tired and need to take a rest but I can push myself to cast more. I also have plenty of cantrips I can cast as often as I want," Noire answered, holding her hand out as a small flame appeared in it.

Without saying anything, he, Darkness and Aqua all turned to the increasingly embarrassed Megumin. None of them said anything, but they were all thinking it.

Noire seemed so much better at magic than Megumin.

"U-ufufu, s-study hard and you'll reach the level of an Arch Wizard one day!" Megumin said loudly, trailing off as she pulled her hat further over her head, hiding her face.

So, Noire was beautiful and talented. What was the catch? He'd learnt that literally everyone here was we-

Wait, Noire wasn't from this world. Maybe that was why she seemed so much better, she wasn't infected with whatever was wrong with the people in this world!

"I intend to, a mage should always be learning after all," Noire agreed easily, unconcerned with Megumin's weirdness. "You said you were from a city called Axel?" Noire asked, making him nod. "Well, as I mentioned I'm a long way from home, would it be too much to ask for me to join you until you reach Axel? I can assure you, I won't be a dead weight."

"Of course! We'd be happy to have you," Kazuma said immediately before anyone else could fuck this up for them, forget joining them on their way to Axel, she could join them forever.

"Excellent, you won't regret this, I promise," Noire said, giving him a beaming smile.

"We finished our quest anyway, so we were heading back when we heard the sounds of fighting," Darkness added, being surprisingly tactful as she failed to mention that she was literally the only one who wanted to investigate.

Megumin has already used her spell for the day, he'd had to carry her for the last few hours until she finally was able to move again, and Aqua hadn't wanted to go back into the swampy forest and neither had he.

"Wonderful, how long is the trip back to Axel?" Noire asked as she walked towards them, Darkness apparently deciding to be their spokesperson this time.

"Two days, we'll have to camp tonight," Darkness explained. They took a quest pretty far away this time, but it paid better than the others so none of them minded the journey. Now that Darkness had joined them, they had to split the money four ways after all.

"I see, I have a bedroll in my pack, and I know a spell or two to help with that," Noire said, looking Darkness over. "If I may, are you a knight?"

"Oh, no! I'm a crusader, but they're similar enough if you don't know the classes. Crusader is just a higher tier fighter class," Darkness explained.

"I see, and do knights have any sway or titles here? Back home knights are a step above commoners, though below the nobles and royals," Noire asked as they started heading back out of the forest, making him pause as she pulled out a notebook and clicked her fingers, a jet black quill appearing in her hand, was she taking notes?

So she was also smart, or at least hard working. He wanted her… in the party of course.

"No, it's just a job class. We have nobles and royalty as well, but unless you're already a noble, becoming a knight won't elevate you," Darkness explained, sounding quite intelligent for once.

"I see, and what are adventurers exactly?" Noire asked, writing something down in her notebook.

"Adventurers are people working for the Adventurers Guild, they take quests to solve problems for coin. Usually requests like hunting monsters that have been harassing merchant caravans, or guarding people who are travelling through dangerous areas," Darkness explained as Noire peppered her with questions, every answer leading to several more questions, Darkness actually handling the inquisitive princess easily.

Huh, Darkness was actually smart? How?

Aqua was clearly unsure how to act around Noire, caught off guard by the otherworlder's presence, and Megumin had apparently decided to stay quiet before she embarrassed herself again, leaving Darkness and Noire to chatter as he tried to find a way to convince Noire to join their party.

As they reached the road, Noire stopped and looked at them.

"Will we be sticking to the road from here?" Noire asked, making him nod.

"Yeah, it leads right to Axel so we don't need to take any detours," Kazuma answered, making her smile at him again, which did strange things to his virgin heart.

"Excellent, then I can do this," Noire said, waving her hand towards the road, a jet-black unicorn wearing a purple and gold saddle materialising in the middle of the dirt road, neighing as Noire walked towards it. "I told you I know a few spells, this is my Phantom Steed, an illusion made real. Would you all like me to conjure you up some mounts?"

"We-we don't have to walk for miles?" Aqua asked, before promptly abandoning her pride as she threw herself at Noire's feet, making the princess stare in confusion. "Miss- No, Princess, please make me a horse!" Aqua pleaded, Noire blinking as he sighed.

He wouldn't have been able to hide his party's eccentricities the whole way back anyway.

"Please, there's no need for begging. It's a fairly simple spell, it might take me a few minutes to summon enough for all four of you but I'd be happy to help. Actually, I don't think I got your name, Goddess?" Noire asked, her tone gracious as Aqua rose to her feet with a proud smile, seemingly forgetting that she just threw herself at Noire's feet and begged to avoid walking.

"I am Aqua, the Goddess of Water!" Aqua started, Megumin and Darkness had already gotten used to Aqua's declarations even if they didn't believe her.

But Noire actually seemed to, maybe she could sense something about Aqua?

"It's an honour, Goddess. Perhaps on the trip, you can tell me how a Goddess ended up on the mortal plane, but for now, I need to concentrate on my spells." Noire said as she started to cast.

"Wait, you believe her?" Darkness said, almost in disbelief as she and Megumin stared at Noire.

"Ah, I suppose as a non-magic user you can't feel the immense power inside Lady Aqua? But- surely an Arch Wizard should be able to feel just how much power she has? Actually, now that I think about it, an Arch Wizard should have a lot more mana than you have…" Noire trailed off as Megumin shrunk back slightly, trying to whistle innocently.

"Hmph, it's about time somebody believed me. I'm only here because Kazuma dragged me here, and now I'm stuck here until the demon king is slain," Aqua said smugly, glaring at him as she stood next to Noire. "But I don't even have my full power trapped down here, and besides, I'm a healer so I can't fight the demon king."

"Ahh, I know a couple of healing spells myself, perhaps you can teach me a trick or two later, if you don't mind," Noire said, making Aqua beam at her.

"I can! Probably!" Aqua boasted, entirely too happy to have someone respect her, watching as Noire formed a second unicorn, this one with pure white fur and glowing blue mane, tail and eyes.

"That one's for you, Lady Aqua," Noire said as she started again, making Aqua beam brighter as the massive horse knelt down so he could mount it.

"Erm… I don't actually know how to ride a horse," Kazuma admitted, making Noire pause as she looked at Darkness and Megumin.

"I do, I rode them when I was a child," Darkness said, answering the unspoken question.

"An Arch-" Megumin started, trailing off as she spotted the look in Noire's eyes. "I've never ridden either," she finished, squeaking slightly as Noire sighed.

"Darkness, do you mind taking Megumin with you?" Noire asked as she made a third unicorn—this one white and gold—Darkness easily mounting it and nodding.

"Sure, come on Megumin, you can ride behind me," Darkness said, helping Megumin onto the horse.

"Err, what about me?" Kazuma asked as Noire smiled.

"You can ride with me, come on," Noire said as her mount lowered itself and let her move onto the saddle, patting the spot behind her as his eyes widened. "Kazuma? It won't bite."

"R-right," Kazuma squeaked, moving towards the massive mount and climbing on behind her, gulping as his chest was pressed against her back.

"Wrap your arms around my waist, you don't want to fall off while we're moving," Noire said, utterly calm and unconcerned even as he felt something incredibly soft pressing against his crotch.

Looking down, he gulped again and did as she said, trying not to think about how her ass was currently pressed against his body.

He also utterly failed as the horse stood up, and despite his prayers to everyone he could think of, including Aqua, he felt himself slowly harden, the softness too much for his virgin, shut-in, body to handle, taking a deep breath didn't help as he was just breathing in Noire's flowery scent, but if she noticed the slowly growing hardness pushing against her ass she didn't mention it.

"Darkness, why don't you take the lead, I don't know the way after all," Noire said easily, the horses setting off at a far faster pace than they could have gone otherwise.

'Don't worry, I'm not going to snap at you over a natural reaction.'

Flinching as Noire's voice echoed through his head, his eyes widened in shock.

Oh god, she absolutely felt it. His dick was pressing against an Elven Princess's ass.

'Also, I'm not reading your mind, I'm just projecting my own voice into your head, it's one way. Just tuck it into your belt and we'll not talk about this.'

Looking around, he reached back and quickly readjusted himself, it didn't help that much because it was still trapped between them, the warmth from her making it throb slightly as he wrapped his arms around her waist again, really hoping nobody else had noticed.

Still, she felt him accidentally rubbing himself against her ass and didn't get even mad? Was she a saint? Had his luck finally turned?

— Noire Virvaris —

So, Megumin is definitely not an Arch Wizard, her party's reaction and her fairly weak mana pool told me that almost immediately. I might need to discipline her for lying, but perhaps Arch Wizard means something else here.

I'll withhold judgement for now.

Darkness is definitely of high birth, though she hides it well, I can tell all the same. She seems like a good source of information.

Aqua is… Aqua. I can feel her immense power, but why would a god beg for something as small as a horse? Something's off there.

The Gods of Eldraine disappeared long ago, but I figured some worlds would have active gods, I just didn't think they'd be this active.

But what matters is that she's very easy to please, just adding lady to her name had her beaming, a bit of flattery and faked awe and I can handle her. She's powerful, but she doesn't seem particularly smart.

Kazuma seems to be the leader, but I can't quite tell why. He has barely any magic, he doesn't seem particularly strong or smart, but I won't make the mistake of underestimating him.

He's definitely a virgin if just riding a horse with me was enough for him to spring an erection, but I can practically feel his embarrassment and his hands haven't wandered once so I'll give him a pass this time. This isn't him trying to cop a feel, just an inexperienced boy's reaction to touching an attractive girl. You can't always control your body's reactions after all.

I could use some guides for my time in this world, and as odd as most of them seem these four should serve my purposes for now.

Besides, they did help me against that abomination and I don't forget a debt. I would have probably been fine, I had more tricks up my sleeves, but 'probably' isn't good enough, and as prideful as I am, I wouldn't deny that I owed them twice over.

I'll pay them back, one way or another; a princess should never renege on a debt or promise, unless of course she never intended to fulfil it in the first place, but that's a different matter entirely.

I owe them, they're the first people I've ever met outside my world, and they're accepting of my extraplanar status, even if Darkness seems somewhat doubtful.

I think I might become an adventurer myself, to secure a flow of income and to aid my explorations of this world, but I want to see what obligations come with the role first, so I need to head to the Adventurers Guild.

I'm hoping this Axel is a major city, not some backwater village, but I can work with either.

It was already getting dark here when I arrived, and it's becoming clear we won't reach the town before nightfall even with the horses, and Darkness tells me that monsters are much more active at night, so we turn off the road towards a field, setting up the bedrolls for the night. It's incredibly apparent that they're jealous of my backpack, but I don't feel like they're so jealous they'd steal it. I'm still going to keep an eye on them of course.

"Eh, what are you doing?" Aqua asks as he watches me start to cast my spells.

"I'm going to set up a couple of spells to make our night a little safer and more comfortable," I explain, making her eyes widen as I cast Tiny Hut and a large transparent shimmering dome forms around our bedrolls, the cold night air immediately becoming warm and comfortable as the wind is blocked by my spell. "Tiny Hut should stop most monsters or creatures from entering, and it'll keep us warm and stop any bugs from bothering us as well," I say, making her stare at me in awe.

"Magic can do that?! I love you, Princess! Please join our party, you can have Megumin's spot!" Aqua shouts, hugging me again as I blink. "I'll heal you as often as you need!"

"What?!" Megumin shouts, making me smile as I gently pry the 'Goddess' of me.

"We can talk about that when we get to the city, but please let me continue my casting," I say, making her nod rapidly as I cast Alarm around us. "That will warn us if anything larger than a mouse approaches us, and Nátt doesn't actually sleep so he'll keep watch."

"I love magic," Aqua says, beaming at me as I smile back at her.

"So do I," I say as I open my bag again, pulling out one of my bottles of wine. "I'd like you to have this as thanks for coming to my aid, I don't know if any of you drink, but if you don't you can sell it, it's of particularly high quality," I say, passing it to the awestruck Goddess.

"Are you a Goddess?" Aqua asks, taking it from me and hugging it to her body as I blink.

"No, that's you?" I reply, baffled by her. She can't decide whether she's a prideful Goddess or she wants to worship me. "A-anyway, Megumin, I'd like to speak with you in private for a moment," I say, turning to my fellow mage and making her flinch slightly.

"M-me? What business do you have with the ultimate Crimson De-" Megumin starts before she trails off, blushing at my stare. "Umm, sure?"

As I take her aside, I hear Kazuma and Aqua arguing, Kazuma trying to make Aqua share the wine as Aqua claims it was a tribute to her and she shouldn't have to share it.

What an odd group.

Finding a fallen log nearby, I sit down on it and turn to Megumin as she shuffles in place. We are still in eyesight of the others, but they shouldn't be able to hear us.

"You don't need to worry so much, I have no intention or desire to take your place," I start, watching her eyes widen. "My apologies for my presumption, but I'm very good at reading people and I'm familiar with insecurities," I admit. I used to compare myself to my mother in almost everything, and always came up short.

It was entirely unfair on myself and very unhealthy.

"W-what does an Arch Wizard as powerful as me have to be insecure about!" Megumin half shouts as she strikes a pose, her face burning as I raise an eyebrow at her, making her drop her pose with a deeper blush. "Thank you," she whispers after a moment of silence. "They're the first party that hasn't kicked me out."

"That leads me to my next question. How many spells do you know, how many can you cast a day, and are you truly an Arch Wizard?" I ask, making her go incredibly pale.

"I-I am an Arch Wizard! My magic and intelligence is incredible for my age, I can prove it!" Megumin says quickly, pulling out a card and passing it to me.

I have to cast Comprehend Languages to understand it, but there it is. I don't understand most of it, but it does say her 'Class' is Arch-Wizard.

Class, there's that word again.

"I see, and the other questions?" I ask, watching her freeze.

"I- Umm, well I know-" Megumin stutters as I stare at her, making her turn red. "One, I know one spell. But! But it's the most powerful spell in the detonation series! Explosion is all I need to know!"

"Ahh, so it's an advanced spell? I see, and how many times can you cast it?" I ask, making her pale again. "It's once, isn't it."

"…yeah," Megumin admits as I take a deep breath, looking at the younger girl.

"Megumin, can you come here please," I ask, holding my hand out as she steps forwards, yelping as I pull her closer and over my lap.

"Eh?" Megumin starts, looking up at me as her hat falls off and falls to the ground. Her face turns incredibly red as I calmly reach down and grab the bottom of her short red dress and pull it up and over her buttocks, black lacy panties covering a surprisingly nice ass. "N-Noire?"

Bringing my hand down on her bottom, she lets out a yelp as I spank her hard, her eyes widening as she tries to sit up, my free hand pushing down on her back.

"An Arch Wizard should seek to learn every spell, not be satisfied with a single spell, no matter how powerful. Clearly whoever taught you did a terrible job of it," I say, spanking her again as she yelps in surprise and pain.

One spell.

She's an Arch Wizard who knows one spell.

"But- Oww!" Megumin yelps as I stare down at her, copying my mothers stern gaze as she pales.

"I will not allow this to stand, as a student of the arcane I can't allow you to waste your potential like this," I say calmly, making her go to argue.

Am I being rational or fair? Absolutely not, Arch Wizard obviously means something very different here, but listening to her call herself an Arch Wizard when she knows one fucking spell makes something inside me snap.

"Explosion is the only-" Megumin starts, her eyes going wide as I grab her panties and pull them down to her ankles. "Wait-"

"No," I scold, spanking her bare buttocks hard. "I'll stop when you agree to let me teach you some more spells."

— Kazuma Satou —

Out of breath from his attempts to chase Aqua around and get the wine bottle off her, he sighed. Why was she suddenly competent when it came to defending her drink?

Glancing over to Darkness, he paused seeing her staring into the distance, panting to herself with flushed cheeks and wide eyes.

"Oi, Darkness? What are you-" Kazuma started, turning over to look at what she was staring at, he froze.

It was dark out, barely any moonlight outside the 'Hut' Noire had made, which was dimly lit despite there being no source of light.

It was very nice not to have to make a fire, and it made him want Noire in the party even more.

But as dark as it was, he could just make out what had Darkness acting like… well, Darkness.

Noire sat down with Megumin over her lap, Megumin's dress pulled up around her waist and her panties down at her ankles as she repeatedly spanked the younger girl.

It seemed to go on for ages before Megumin stood up and quickly fixed her clothes, Noire saying something as she rose herself.

As they came back, Megumin's face was burning and Noire looked entirely too satisfied about something as she approached them.

"My apologies, I had to discuss something with my fellow mage," Noire said, Megumin standing behind her silently. "I hope you don't mind but I've come to something of an agreement with Megumin, and I'll be travelling with you for a while longer. If there are no objections, I'd like to join your party."

"Please do," Aqua shouted drunkenly, the bottle already half empty.

"Mhmm~" Darkness moaned, rubbing her thighs together.

"Thank you!" He said, before they all stopped and looked at each other.

I have a discord server (technically someone else’s but my name is on the server so it’s basically mine) with a bunch of other authors and a load of porn. Here’s the link for that: discord .gg/wd3tUYWVCd

I also have a bad P word that FF doesn’t like, what’s on it? Right now, nothing that you can’t find elsewhere and I don’t know if that will change to be honest, I don’t like the idea of paywalling content but I also like money to fund my pizza and games addiction, so here’s the link for that as well: Pat reon . com/TheDarkWolfShiro

Author's Note: The muse demands more Noire. I decided on Konosuba since it makes a good world for Noire to learn the ropes of adventuring, without being too dangerous or complicated. I’m thinking the world order will be Konosuba, Mass Effect, then Dragon Age, with returns to Eldraine along the way.
