Chương 380: Chapter 364 ( Explosion )
"So, what do we do now?" - asked one of the soldiers of the logistics team.
"Sound the alarm to give Amamiya Tsubaki a sense of pressure" - replied the team leader - "With this, we will create the illusion that we are still after her."
"I'll do it right away, sir!" - exclaimed one of the men as he pressed a huge red button.
"With this, our orders have been completed" - said the logistics team leader as he shook his head.

It had been an hour since Tsubaki had managed to escape from the facility where she had been imprisoned and she was still on high guard.
She knew that her escape had been extremely easy and quick, which made all her senses at their peak.
Tsubaki shook her head as she made another attempt to calm down, only to sigh when she saw how her pulse was still in the clouds even though she should be safe now.
"Why didn't anyone follow me?" - Tsubaki muttered as she frowned. It was obvious that the cameras should have captured her image, but the problem was that no one had tried to chase her or capture her during her tour of the area outside the facility.
It was stupid to believe that no one had seen her escape or move around the place, which was why she was still stressed.
"Maybe I'm overthinking this?" - Tsubaki wondered, only to shake her head - "No, if I relax, they will capture me again."
Tsubaki was sure that her escape was not yet over, even though the forces under Johannes' command seemed to be either inept, or simply not interested in her.
"I better be on my way, the faster I get out of this 'restricted zone' and into the residential area, the faster I can contact the others" - Tsubaki muttered as she let out a regretful sigh, unaware that things were about to get worse.

"Ugh, we're finally free" - said Sakuya as she opened a can of beer and drank all its contents in one go - "Those bastards are a huge pain in the ass."
"I know, I had to resist my urges to kill them too" - growled Soma with a frown. It was bad enough that he had to accept his share of the blame for the failure of the mission by being the only survivors.
"What's worse, is that we can't say anything against those bastards who only spend their time drinking and partying behind the secure walls of [Fenrir]" - Tatenashi snorted with a scowl. They'd spent much of their lives outside the walls, facing colossal monsters while those sons of bitches were sitting on their asses after all that sitting around.
Houki said nothing, but she was still annoyed, especially when she heard how she could get the others absolved of their punishments if she offered her 'services'.
"Good job resisting the words of those hot dogs," Lindow said disdainfully as she looked at Houki.
"Easy, for me, those assholes didn't say anything," Houki replied as she shook her head. She had ignored every single one of those men's words.
"Well, now that we can finally return to [Fenrir: Far East], I guess it's time to think about the rescue plan," said Lindow as his gaze turned serious. He was worried about his older sister's condition because he knew that even though Johannes needed her, that didn't mean she wouldn't suffer some mishaps.
"Relax, Lindow, I'm sure she's fine," Sakuya said as she tried to calm her leader.
"I hope so, or I swear on my life Johannes is going to pay" - replied Lindow seriously as he slowly closed his eyes.
The helicopter continued on its journey to [Fenrir: Far East] as the minutes ticked by.
Lindow was much more serious than during the mission or his return to [Fenrir: Central].
"Relax, everything will be fine" - Sofia said as she gave a smile to the man who had caught her attention.
Lindow gave her a glance before nodding weakly.
Over the past few days, he had begun to develop a soft spot for the woman in front of him, something his companions did not overlook. Everyone present had a teasing smile on their faces as they watched the relationship between the two develop.
"If you've stopped having fun with us, I ask you to concentrate on what's about to happen," said Lindow as he looked at his subordinates with a twitch in his eye.
"Don't be so shy, Lindow ~" - said Tatenashi while imitating Sofia's voice, only for the young blonde to blush.
"I never thought you had it in you, Lindow, not with the way you are" - said Soma as an almost imperceptible smile appeared on his lips.
"Good job, Lindow, you finally got a good woman," Sakuya nodded with a huge smile on her lips.
Houki just kept silent, but the smile on her lips showed that she was having fun with the situation.
"Stop teasing us!" - Sophia exclaimed with a red face, only to blush even more when she heard the laughter of the others - ". . ."
"You guys" - muttered Lindow as he shook his head - "Ok, do what you want".
"We will, boss" - replied those present almost unanimously, only to widen their eyes in surprise when they heard the sound of an explosion echoing in the distance.
"Brace for impact!" - Houki exclaimed as she prepared to steady her helicopter because she knew the shockwave from the explosion would hit them squarely.
Seconds passed and soon the helicopter began to spin out of control.
All the passengers had already braced themselves for the impact, but that didn't mean they didn't find the current situation upsetting.
"The sound of the explosion seemed to be coming from [Fenrir: Far East]" - Lindow said in terror as he felt his blood pressure begin to rise.
"Easy, from the sound, air pressure and finally the force of the shockwave, I can deduce that the explosion occurred outside of [Fenrir: Far East], although you could say it was close to the base" - replied Tatenashi as she pulled out her communicator so she could investigate what the fuck had happened, only to blanch as she read the information they had managed to gather so far.
"Tatenashi," Houki said as she noticed her friend's expression.
"This is bad, really bad" - said Tatenashi as she began to sweat - "Houki, I need you to increase speed!"
"!" - those present opened their eyes in surprise when they heard the woman's words, only to feel the helicopter's speed increase.
"Tell us what happened" - Lindow said seriously as he felt a bad feeling.
"A clandestine facility outside [Fenrir: Far East], exploded after an experiment went wrong" - replied Tatenashi seriously - "That's all the information the central base has."
". . ." - those present fell silent as they looked at each other.
"Clandestina?" - Sofia asked in surprise.
"Those facilities were not registered" - replied Tatenashi with a frown - "[Fenrir: Central] had no knowledge of their existence, nor of their functionality."
Lindow just felt his body tremble because he could connect the dots - "Tsubaki!"
"Calm down, Lindow!" - Sakuya said as she tried to calm her long-time leader and friend - "It's possible that Tsubaki wasn't in that place!"
"I recommend you calm down, leader" - added Soma seriously - "Right now, we need our leader to have a clear mind."
Lindow bit his lip before nodding weakly, though everyone could notice the look of concern on his face.
The group fell dead silent as the helicopter continued to speed towards its destination.

Chaos had invaded [Fenrir: Far East] after one of the facilities outside the base exploded without warning.
People were running out of control as the earth shook and the wind roared fiercely.
"Where's Johannes-sama!" - [Fenrir: Far East] exclaimed one of the senior [Fenrir: Far East] officials when their leader was nowhere to be seen.
"He said he had something to check on, but we haven't seen him in quite a while" - replied a soldier as he looked at his superior.
"!" - the senior officer could only widen his eyes in surprise as he connected a few dots and realised that Johannes had possibly gone to the facility moments before the explosion - "I want a team to go and investigate immediately! Retrieve as much information as possible, as well as the bodies of all the scientists and officials on site! I want them recognised and I want it done by today!"
"As you command, sir!" - The soldier exclaimed as he ran to follow his orders.
The high command of [Fenrir: Far East], could only grunt in exasperation as he sensed that something strange was happening. He quickly went to Johannes' office and logged into his PC, only to discover how the base leader had begun to create countermeasures for the [Red Rain].
