Now, let's do a little space mapping.
ZAFT is located exactly in Earth Lagrange 4 while the Deikun(Zabi-counterpart) family built their space station and satellite colony in Lagrange 5.
Most satellite colony that was funded and made by the countries on Earth are positioned in Lagrange 2 while the things built between Earth and the moon are mostly space stations and small satellite colonies that only had a limited production ability like being only able to produce one thing or another, in short, a factory the size of a satellite colony.
In truth, although these colonies are called satellites, they aren't real 'satellites' because a satellite should be orbiting a planet, like a moon.

"Damn it! You bastards did it intentionally!"
