Jonas drove towards Du Group's HQ.
On his way, he bought flowers as props. As he was waiting for the bouquet, he received a call from Lucia.
"What's wrong? " He immediately asked.
"Mr. Morgan, there are people outside the villa. Armed." Lucia tried to calm down.
"What?" Jonas readily left the flower shop and drove back to the villa.
"Have you called the security?" He asked as he tried to step on his accelerator.
"Yes but I got no response." Lucia said almost whispering.
"Don't panic. I'll be coming over. Place Louise on the safety room and act like you know nothing." He ordered.
"Should we call the police?" Lucia wanted to do so but she knew that the local authorities were not that powerful and couldn't help much.
"No. I will call the mercenary team I hired." With that, Jonas hang up and dialed another number.
After a few rings, the other line picked up.
"What is it?" The voice was hoarse.
"Luda, it's Jonas. I need you now. My daughter is in danger." He said hastily.
"Wait. I'll relay your message to Fritz and his team." Luda got up from his bed.
"Okay. Thank you." Jonas thanked the man. But the man chuckled.
"You paid us well Mr. Morgan. No need for thank yous." Luda hung up the call and dialed a number.
"Our benefactor called. Time to work." Luda said.
The other line stayed silent but Luda knew Fritz heard his voice.
He walked towards the bathroom and showered.

Jonas overtook many cars and beat many red lights just to rush to the villa.
He only slowed down when he's about to enter the vicinity.
The place was eerily quite when it was almost noon. The sun was shining brightly but there's tension pervading.
It was the most secluded part of the city but, when driving, it was accessible within minutes. Jonas knew that the situation was not good.
He didn't know that Whitney Du will strike suddenly but he knew he's prepared. It was just that the time was tight.
Luda's team isn't here and he alone could not rush to the small villa.
Jonas texted Lucia. He didn't call just in case it will cause suspicion.
"Is everything fine?
Lucia readily replied.
"Yes Mr. Morgan. They are surrounding the house but they were not entering. It seemed that they are waiting for someone."
"Okay. Stay with Louise in the safety room."
"Okay Mr. Morgan. Please be careful." Lucia reminded her employer kindly.
"I will. If anything happens, take her away. I will give you enough money to spend." Jonas knew that this is a tricky situation. He might not get to live and see Louise wake up again.
"Sir. Don't be like that. What will happen to Louise if something happens to you?" Lucia frantically typed.
It was like his last message, ominous.
"Just in case. Can I count on you?" Jonas asked.
"I will take care of her with my life Mr. Morgan and please don't do anything rash." She replied.
"Luda's team is here. Stay with Louise. If she will ever wake up, tell her everything. I know she will understand."
After sending his message, he turned off his cellphone and put it inside the compartment.
After a few minutes, 3 off-road vehicle approached him.
A tall man with a large build approached him with a rifle. Donning a black shirt and a camouflage pants with a black boots.
He had a dog tag on him.
It was Luda.
"You're here." Jonas sighed relief.
"Yes, but I am sorry Mr. Morgan. Our cooperation has been voided. Someone paid a higher price for your life." Luda said coldly.
"I know." Jonas said with a little smile on his lips. It was such a cynical way to die in the hands of these men.
He paid them well and accepted their demands yet, in the end, he was betrayed.
