Chương 39: Chapter 38: Trail of Blood

After hours of driving, Elise and Holly finally arrive at the Oglourine Academy. About Beatrix, she said that she'll come later because she still has a presentation and a test to do. They are here early just to attend the Autumn Festival. Even if they are cruel and violent, however, they're still humans. They still want to have a good time.

Plus, it's good for them too. Because after the Autumn Festival week is the student exchange event. Sometimes being early is not a bad decision.

"Are you sure that we're on the right path?". Elise observed the scenery around. Everything looked like something terrible just happened.

"Depending on the GPS? Yes". Holly gave her phone to Elise. "But the scenery? No, it looks exactly like a battle was here".

"Be careful, I have a bad feeling about this". Holly focused back to driving the car.

"Me too". The moment when Elise turned her sight straight, she saw something was in the middle of the road. "Watch out!".

Holly has a metal mind, she knows this trick so well. So she keeps increasing the speed and crashes through the thing. Then she stops the car at a far distance just for safety.

"What was that?!". Elise freaked out, she didn't expect this.

"Guess we'll have to find out by ourselves". Holly doused the vehicle. "I'll be your shield, don't worry".

"Sanguinex Bracelet, please give me your strength". Getting out of the car, Elise immediately called out her weapon. "I'm ready".

"Wishes upon the stars, I am blessed with the heaven light". Holly summoned her sacred lance while approaching the thing that she crashed through.

As a team of 3, Beatrix, Elise, and Holly. They are perfectly lined up.

Elise is the Attacker, she is the Destroyer. Some people usually mistaken her as an Assassin. Nevertheless, the truth is no. Elise has the ability to solo 1 versus 1 with the Assassin and she also can demolish a whole enemy team with her blessed bracelet.

While Holly, she is a Defender, a Warrior to be correct. She can tank a lot of damage with her heavenly armor and the sacred aegis. She can also deal a large amount of unblockable damage with her sacred lance. Holly was a saint knight of the holy church. She did work for the saintess for 2 years before becoming the protector of Lady Elise.

And Beatrix, she is the Supporter of the team. She is a Controller and a Strategist. Her ability is Amethyst Lightning, she can call upon the purple thunder to strike down or she can leave crystal shock bombs on the ground. Her attack range is one of the farthest attack ranges in the state.

As Holly strolled near the dead thing, she examinized it: "A Killer Rabbit?"

"Killer Rabbit? It only lives in the deep dark lush forest". Elise was surprised. "Why is it here?".

The bloody smell of the dead creature has been luring its other allies to come. A lot of Killer Rabbits are encircling around Elise and Holly. Their eyes are red as shining Rubies and barbaric as murderers.

"I think we have some troubles now". Holly alerted Elise. "Be careful my lady".

"Have you heard of the news about the coming back of Abyssal Forces?". Elise knew that she can eliminate these mobs easily so she was just chit chatting. "I feel like something worse happened to the Oglourine Academy".

"Just by looking at the surroundings right?". Holly was detecting the area.

The moment when the nearest Killer Rabbit jumps toward Elise. She just steps aside, her red velvet blade cut through the throat of the animal. After witnessing its ally has been slayed by Elise, other Killer Rabbits start to attack at the same time.

"Begonias Bloom". This was one of Elise's unique skills, it might look like one critical attack. However, it was actually multiple slashes at a time. Killer Rabbits have small size, so using this skill is the best idea to terminate plenty of them fast.

Begonias Bloom in the observer's sight is a windy blow of red petals. Each of these corollas will leave a deep wound or maybe cut through your body when it passes by. Elise created this unique skill a few months after she took down the first monster to prove her power to the Sanguinex Bracelet.

"What a beautiful scene!". Elise exclaimed artistically. Body parts of Killer Rabbits were all over on the ground. It's really a horror scene. That's why Elise is called the Queen of Battlefield.

"Holy Light Shock". Holly blasted a heavenly golden psychic wave to the surroundings to clear out all deadly beings. "I'm done".

"Ooh, are you making art again?". Holly was used to the insanity of Elise. "It looks nasty".

"Thank you for the honest compliment". Elise laughed. "Hahahaha".

"BOOOOM!!!!!". It was an explosion.

"This direction". Holly looked through her phone. "The explosion was from the Oglourine Academy!".

"Hold on for a second". Elise put the blade back into the sheath, then she pulled out her phone. "Oh, Beatrix is calling".

"Hello Beatrix, what's wrong?". Elise picked up the phone.

"Oh, are y'all near the Oglourine Academy yet?". Beatrix asked. "If yes then please be cursory, the Oglourine Academy was the only safe area in this dangerous region. They're calling for aid".

"What happened?". Holly had heard it, she knew that something bad was happening.

"For the unknown reason, most monsters suddenly became wild and started running out of their habitats to hunt down humans". Beatrix explained shortly. "Please clean up these filthy entities, I'll land on the top of the building with my helicopter".

"Well, let's go Holly". Elise hung up her phone, and walked back to the car.

"Are you ready?". Holly locked her seat belt.

"I want a full speed order please". Elise joke.

"As you wish". Holly stepped hard on the acceleration brake. "Hold on tight!".

While that, people are fighting intensely in the Oglourine Academy's campus.

"Go my Killer Rabbits!!". Olivia commanded her tamed deadly animals to attack other hostile monsters. "Annihilate them!!!!".

Olivia's ability is kind of useless in the arena fight, however, she's literally the queen in these types of battles. Her ability is Animal's Bestie. She can tame, control, comfort, and be friends with all living creatures.

Olivia's army of Killer Rabbits is like a tsunami. It crashes through many large ones and only bones are left. Technically, Killer Rabbits are ground Piranhas.

"Good job Olivia!". Prince Federick applauded her (he's the one that got in a fight with Lucas in the beginning of the story).

"Sword Dance!". Yes, the most basic attack move of swordsmanship, nonetheless at least Prince Federick wasn't so useless. He can fight, but not too well.

The Plainfield Dragon has arrived, it growls noisily and rushes toward Prince Federick. Seems like our Prince doesn't have much fortune this year. Bad things keep happening to him.

Thankfully, Everado noticed soon, so he flashed to Prince Federick by a spell: "Fulgeo". He created a magical energy shield to protect Prince Federick from the tail whip. "Objectus!".

"GRAWL". The Dragon growled angrily. Looks like it's about to do something pestilent.

"Fulgeo". Everado had enough battlefield experience, so he grabbed Prince Federick and flashed to a safer spot.

"GRAWL". And yes, just a second after they flashed, the Dragon breathed out a tremendous air slashes. Its blow was so sharp that it cut deep into the ground for a few inches.

"Fire!". Mr. Raven ordered his technology group to shoot out a ray of destruction. "Witness the power of high technology".

"GRAWL". The shot was only making the Dragon flinch a little bit. If it was a normal monster, then the shot would be super effective. However, it's a Dragon.

"Divine Punishment". From somewhere, a golden shining lance flew and pierce through the neck of the Dragon.

"AW". The Dragon screeched in pain.

"That's how you fight". Holly called back her lance. "Dragons are afraid of fairy magic and divine power". It was true though. "Your technology is cool, but not good enough".

"Ah". Mr. Raven put his hand on his left chest, his heart just broke. It was embarrassing.

"Azaleas". Elise preferred the speedy way. Another unique skill from her again.

When the red flower fades away, it means that a life has come to an end.

The blood was everywhere, the Dragon's head was cut off. "Just a smooth swing is enough". Elise absorbed all the dragon blood on her blade into the Sanguinex Bracelet. "Ah, more power".

"Who are you?!". Prince Federick backed off. "Disgusting and filthy".

"What did you just say?". Seemed like Prince Federick just pissed off his savior, Elise or maybe she would be the death scythe to end his vitality. "Do you wanna die or something?".

"That's Elise and Holly". Based on what Everado had seen in the profile, he guessed that they must be chosen as exchange students from the Margareta Academy. "Thanks for aiding us, this is Prince Federick and I am the Vice President of The Oglourine Academy's Student Council". Everado introduced himself nicely.

"I'm Holly Chisel, the personal bodyguard of Lady Elise". Holly pointed her lance closely at the Prince's head. "If you dare to say one more rude thing about my master, I promise I'll throw this heavy spear through your brain".

"Yes ma'am". What a terrifying woman. Holly was the first girl that pressured Prince Federick this much. Poor him, the god of luck must have hated him.
