As it turned out, even with a fist the size of a millstone, it still couldn't do much substantial damage to Hulk.
Eric's arms were sore from the smash, and Hulk was still there roaring, the little injury on his head healed as good as new in the blink of an eye.

The four-handed Hulk, which General Ross had failed to capture at the cost of a great deal of military power, even with the use of space-based weapons, was thus subdued by Erik.
