Chương 65: Issue #11
The women held onto Jack before he phased them through the floor and onto the top floor of the hidden facility.
"This place has 12 floors. In order to not be trapped all at once, we will be splitting into 3 groups. Revanche and Rogue will take the first 4 floors. Callisto and Scarlet Witch have floors 5 through 8. I will take the bottom four."
"Is that really the best choice, Jack?" Wanda asked
"It makes sense. Our main job is to explore this place and save mutants. If we take too long and get caught on the earlier floors, there is no telling what will happen to those that are here. If we need help, we can always call for backup from the others. These floors can't exactly stop us, hun," Rogue tried to convince her teammate
Hearing the logic behind it, Wanda nodded and didn't have any other objections. Callisto and Kwannon had nothing else to say.
Jack grabbed hold of Callisto and Wanda before phasing through the next few floors and dropping them off on the 5th floor. He made sure to check the surroundings with his telepathy in order to ensure that there were no guards in the areas he brought them.
After he dropped them off, instead of going to the 9th floor like he had originally planned, he then traveled all the way down to the lowest floor.
When he reached the bottom floor, Jack made sure he stayed invisible as he traveled through the corridors. There was very few things down there. Only a few guards, empty cells/cages, and a few offices. But after going through the entire floor thoroughly, Jack was unable to find anyone.
Giving up on that floor, he went to the floor above him. This floor was much more populated. Jack took down dozens on guards that were protecting various areas. He would then go into those offices and make two copies of all the data available.
As he traveled from office to office, Jack got more and more curious about the place. From the information that he gathered, the organization was running even more efficiently than when the government was backing it. But he could find no trace of where the money was coming from or where the super soldiers were going.
'The power backing this place must be immense. I'll have to investigate on my own without getting the Avengers or Emma involved. Ugh. So troublesome.'
When Jack was about to continue sneaking around, he heard an siren go off while the lights of walls began to flash between red and green.
'Guess we've been made!'
Jack went through several different corridors until he arrived inside of a large training area. There, he saw 6 teen or pre-teen girls being struck by 3 adults in all white. Seeing this, the blood in Jack's body began to boil.
"Looks like we got company," the man in the middle said
The three adults turned around to reveal that they were a pair of male twins and a woman. At least Jack assumed they were twins from their physique. All 3 were wearing masks that covered everything except for their eyes.
"Hey, handsome! You look a bit familiar," the woman said with a coquettish tone
"That's Jack Frost of the Avengers!" The twin standing on the right said
Jack smiled playfully at the trio with a grin that would send chills down a normal person's spine but it appeared as if none of them were affected.
"I'm glad I have become so recognizable. That means you also just know about how I deal with those that harm children."
None of the trio responded but they each pulled out a set of pistols. They didn't point it at him however since they didn't know the exact situation.
"These children are under our care. We would appreciate it if you didn't interfere with our parenting style," the one in the middle said. It was obvious to Jack that he was the leader
Jack didn't pay attention to them. Instead, he turned his attention to the 6 girls behind them but when he took a closer look at them, he was stunned.
This was because 5 of the girls were quintuplets that looked exactly like Emma Frost when she was much younger. The other girl did not look familiar to Jack but she had a pair of metal claws coming out of her knuckles that resembled a certain wild animal he knew stayed with Emma.
'Children? No. Anyone related to Wolverine dies within 3 years. Plus those girls are way too old to be Emma's kids. Must be clones.'
Jack was trying to determine exactly what the children were but when he saw the fear and desperation in their eyes, he no longer cared. All he knew was that the children needed help and he was more than willing to provide it.
Jack didn't say another word to the trio but extended both of his palms towards the man in the middle. The trio immediately went on guard and were about to act.
[Pocket Theft]
Both of Fantomax's guns appeared in Jack's hand.
"Annoying. Cluster and 13, you two can deal with him. I will escort these 6 to the emergency exit," the man acted as if Jack's act did not affect him in the slightest
"Got it, big brother," the woman of the group said
Fantomax turned around and went toward the girls. The other pair of siblings raised their guns and began firing on Jack but the latter ignored the bullets and flew straight at them.
As he was about to grab for the girl's, the mini, female Wolverine slashed at his hand. The man immediately pulled his hand back and pulled out a baton from his waist before striking the girl's skull.
"Agh!"
Fantomax was about to strike her again but heard a shout of pain from behind him
When he turned around, he saw that 13 and Cluster had both been killed in moments. Fantomax was about to activate his power but before he could, he felt himself flying in the air. When he looked down, he saw his headless body collapsing to the ground.
