Chương 23: Chapter 22
Yoshi was walking through the corridor of classes in hoping of bumping into any teacher of the academy since he's a new student and doesn't know where the teacher's office was. All he knew was that he's going to be place in the classroom same with Naruto and Yoshi barely remember where the class was. He doesn't want to wander around and wasting time just to look for a class and not to say it's just gonna make Yoshi feel tired even before his academy day started.
As God heard his prayer, Yoshi suddenly bumped into Umino Iruka, the class teacher of Naruto's class. Iruka who was at the time has planned to brought Yoshi to class personally, has a relieved expression on his face to see Yoshi in front of him safe and sound. Well, kinda. As Iruka was happy to see him in the academy, his eyes suddenly caught the sight of the bandages wrapped around his neck and both arms caused his happy face to turned into a frowned. Iruka of course knew what happened for the past one week, knowing that he would be teaching Yoshi in class so as a teacher, he doesn't only wanted to teach his students but also protect them. So for the past one week, Iruka has been going in and out from the Hokage's office just to hear the news of Yoshi and let's just say each day, Iruka's concern towards Yoshi increased to the point that he suggested the Hokage to let Yoshi lived with him. But the suggestion has been thrown aside because Yoshi who heard about it from Hiruzen rejected the idea bluntly.
Back to the present where Yoshi and Iruka were having a little awkward staring contest at least on Yoshi's side as he saw the frowned on his soon to be teacher. Decided to break the awkward atmosphere, Yoshi spoke to Iruka in a polite manner while bowing a little.
"Good morning, Iruka sensei. I'm sorry I came late to school."
Iruka who was back to his usual self as he heard Yoshi spoke has a wide and bright smile on his face.
"Good morning to you too, Yoshi. I see you made it to the academy and don't worry about being late. Your a new student and today is your first day so you will be excuse from punishment. But make sure you come early next time." said Iruka while ruffling Yoshi's black hair.
Yoshi just nodded his head and they walked together to class with Iruka took the lead. Once they arrived at the class, Iruka told Yoshi to stay outside for awhile as he went to deal with the noisy kids in class. After everyone finally back on their seat and have full attention on Iruka, Yoshi heard his name being called and so he went in. All eyes were on him as they waited for Iruka to say the next words.
"Now, class. We have a new student today. Yoshi if you please introduce yourself to the class."
"Hi. My name is Yoshi. I hope we can be good friends from now on." said Yoshi while slightly bowing his head.
Every students in the class have a bored expressions on their face as they couldn't care less about a boy who doesn't even have a last name. Of course it doesn't applied the same to Naruto who was excited to see Yoshi and couldn't help himself than has a wide smile on his face. But there was also curiosity plastered on the face of some of the clan kids. Yoshi of course noticed this, but he doesn't want to fulfilled their little curiosity so Yoshi just excused himself to take a seat beside Naruto at the far back. As the minutes passed by, the class continued like normal as everyone attention was not on Yoshi anymore.

The sound of the bell ringing indicates the end of school for the day. All the kids in the class were waiting for this moment as in this point on, they are free and could do anything they want. They went to the academy gate and saw their parents or siblings waiting for them with a smile. Then parents would ask their children about their day in the academy and maybe discuss about dinner.
Well, this kind of thing doesn't applied to everyone especially orphan kids like Naruto for example. Yoshi saw Naruto sitting on the swing under the tree while watching the happy interactions between parents and their kid. His eyes was full of sadness and that was enough reason for Yoshi to approach him. Yoshi walked leisurely towards Naruto with his hands in the pocket. Arriving beside Naruto, Yoshi decided to stay quiet while waiting for him but after some times of waiting, he slightly touched Naruto's shoulder and that made Naruto jumped a little since he didn't even realised the presence of Yoshi beside him.
Naruto looked at Yoshi with a smile on his face. He knew that even though he doesn't have any parents to pick him up from the academy or hold his hand while talked about dinner, he still has his friend who he was coincidentally met long ago and ended up being his good friend. He still could do everything others of his peers did with their parents together with Yoshi except for holding hands.
"Ready to go, Naruto?" Yoshi asked.
"Yeah!" Naruto said while got off the swing.
And with that, they walked side by side while talking about various things.
"Ne, Yoshi. Say. Do you want to eat ramen after this?"
"Sure, that sounds good. And maybe we can go play at the park once we eat. Right, Naruto?"
"Hell, yeah! That sounds like a plan. You are really the best, Yoshi!"

Anony_writer15 Yo! I'm sorry for the late update and yeah this chapter is short. Sorry for that too. I've already planned to make it short since nothing interested will happened in this chapter, so yeah. It's all according to plan. In the next chapter probably there's something gonna happened.
