Chương 2: Approval
Rey trained and having a spar with her friend a Twi'lek name Jap'Firi. She herself a Chiss, Rey red eyes matched with Jap'Firi dark eyes. They are both great teenage girls sparing together in front of their master Luke Skywalker outside the temple.
The other younglings who train and Padawan meditating, making master Luke smile with pride, suddenly stop as they watch their oldest sparring.
They are both fierce and go back and forward step by step changing the form of attack. Although Jap'Firi is more agile than Rey, Rey is more consistent and reads her friend's movement and takes advantage when Jap'Firi makes a slight miss-step. Easily giving Rey the advantage to pull up her feed and make her fall down before pointing her with the lightsaber.
Rey quickly turns her head toward her master for approval and yet sees nothing but empty eyes. He walks toward them and picks Jap'Firi up. Only says "good work" as he walks away toward the temple. The other younglings and padawan go around them asking them to teach them. Although Jap'Firi answers them the best she can, Rey only looks at her master walks away.
She wonders while he never looks proud in whatever progress that she makes. Someone then pats her shoulder and turns her and calls her name. It is none other than Ben Organa, the third older padawan in the temple.
"Come on Rey, I know nobody could beat you in a duel but if you keep on daydreaming you may get shot before you could pull on your lightsaber," Ben says jokingly the other jokingly says "uwu" saying that it might be a challenge.
Jap'Firi looks at Ray and giggles a bit "hey Rey aren't you gonna take that challenge from Ben?" Rey laughs while crossing her hand "Ben even cant beat me with one of my hands behind my back".
They argue and jokingly at each other as the sun starts to set. At night when they are all eating together. Ben makes a laugh as he tells the story of a pirate named Hondo who is friends with a Jadi Master named Obi-wan Kenobi. Ben tells his two friends that when he was still young he had the same kind of adventure.
"Come on Ben we know all about your adventure no surprise there, but you never actually talk about your father?" Rey asks him while raising her shoulder and rolling her eyes.
"You shouldn't bring that up Rey" Jap`Firi pushed Rey a bit with her elbow. Rey quickly says "sorry~~" even though Ben hears their whisper.
"No need to worry you two, There is nothing to say about him" he looks away with a bit of a smile showing a disappointed face. Rey and Jap'Firi look at each other feeling badly until a youngling tells them that the milk is out and needs to be refilled. They look at each other and sigh, telling the younglings they will get the milk.
"So who is gonna milk the thala-sirens?" Ben look at the other two girls
" We are not gonna roll the saber ok?" Jap'Firi says with her hands up
"Alright I'll do it you two, ugh seriously" Rey stand up as the other giggle
"See yaa around red eyes," Ben says to Rey as she walks away
"Hey I thought we would agree on that?" she turns around looking back
"That's for the father talking," Ben says while Rey rolls her eyes and turns around again, and walks away.
Rey walks toward the Thala-sirens she is then surprised to see master Luke milking it to his own bottle and drinking it while reading an old Jedi book. "I felt that you will come here, gather the student I need to tell you all something," Luke says while standing. "Master.." Rey looks back, making Luke stop as he also turns around to see her face. "Sorry, nothing master.." Rey says while she starts looking down.
Luke stands in front of all the children, his students around the room. He then looks around and asks if everyone is in the room. They all look at each other and nod to each other. Lukes then continues, " Alright, I'm gonna be gone for a while, I'll let Ben in charge while I was gone alright" while he is holding an ancient book. Rey only fists her hand while listening to all of this.
Everyone fusses about it and Luke walks away saying goodbye to all of them. Before he really leaves, Rey runs after him panting after she runs as her master turns around to see her.
" I believe you have a question on your mind "
Rey looks determined and then after the silence takes the atmosphere. She loudly asks "Am I enough for you?!" Luke stays silent "... I always train so hard… I… always try my best but why?! Why?! Didn't you see that… am I ever good enough for you?!"
Luke stayed silent, "answer me, master.. please.. answer me.." Rey kneels down and drops her hand to the ground punching the ground. She almost cried because of it.
Luke walks toward her and raises her head. " it's not you child… it's just.. you remind me so much about him. Just like him you are best of the best, and yet so emotional and filled with darkness." Luke looks into her eyes while she tries to hold her tears. " I'm sorry my child, let's talk later on. I am needed somewhere else."
Luke then leaves the scene just like that. Leaving Rey to question what it all means.
