Noa felt that her recent experiences were like a dream.
The first half was a nightmare - her adoptive brother Lin Kun, was slain in 'Heavenly River Land' by the Fourth Demon Lord's people. The elite of the Kun Army suffered heavy losses in that battle.
Lin Kun didn't have to die; as the strongest one in the group, he had the most capability to escape. However, he used his own life instead to hold back those demons, creating a slim chance of survival for the others.
Noa often pictured the scene of Lin Kun's godly body reassembling only to rush forward again and again. Each time she thought of it, her heart felt as if it was being ripped apart.
The Kun Army was in decline after the ordeal. Its ranking fell, people left, were transferred, or scattered. Only Xiao Ming, herself and a group of old men stayed, attempting to restore the glory of the Kun Army.
With the drastic changes the Kun Army faced, people's hearts changed as well.
