Chương 40: Chapter 39 Wedding?!
"This is the 20th anniversary of LFA, welcome! I'm your host Eric, and it's an honour for me to be standing here!"
*claps
He starts talking about the history of the award and interacts with some of the actors for about five minutes.
"I've just received news that a very special young man will be performing the opening music of ceremony for us. Ladies and gentlemen Kim Ji Hoon!"
*claps and whistles
"Aren't you worry that he might not be able to perform well, it seemed like he wasn't ready at all." Danny (Hairy Bottle) asks Emmy.
"When it comes to music, I belive no one is more talented than him in this generation. When it comes to music, he is always ready. You will see." Emmy didn't lower her voice so most of the people around her heard what she said. This makes everyone anticipates even more.
"Before I start, I just wanna say a few words. This piece music was an idea I got from a person I respect a lot, Noboto sensei. He is a musician I met in Jepen when I was a lot younger and I hope one day we can talk about music again."
After saying that, he turns to the band behind and signals.

After the music ends, Ji Hoon stands up and bows to the 'audiences'. Seconds after Ji Hoon left the stage, they erupted.
"See? What did I tell you?" Emmy looks at Danny and others with their mouth gaping and said so proudly.
Ji Hoon returns to his seat beside Emmy, and everyone is staring at him.
"How was it Emmy?"
"Good job, I knew I could count on you." xD
"Let me rephrase my question, how do you feel about the song?"
"Hmm? It was really nice, and kinda romantic if I may say."
"It's the song I wanted to play during our wedding."
"Huh?! W-wedding?!"
"Yeah, what's wrong?"
"Don't you think it's too early to be talking about that? I mean... we've just been dating for a few months..."
???
"I never said anything about having a wedding any time soon. But to me, I believe that the ultimate goal of dating is to get married someday. I'm not just trying to date to have fun or anything like that. I promised you girls a future, and I meant it. W-why are you looking at me like that?"
She leans in and whispers in his ear.
"It's really not fair to say something like that in a place like that. You better watch yourself tonight..."

"When I said he is special, he truly is special, give it up for Kim Ji Hoon!"
*cheers and claps
Ji Hoon stands up from his seat and waves to them.
After that, the actual award ceremony begins.
After a few awards have been presented, Emmy whispers to Ji Hoon.
"I'm gonna use the toilet, I'll be right back."
"Want me to with you?"
"Oh, don't mind me, it'll be quick."
"Okay."
...
"The next award is the best film debut award."
"Why isn't Emmy back yet?"
Ji Hoon is just looking around, until he sees Danny and Emmy walking towards the stage from behind the curtain.
"No wonder she took so long..." They have been chosen to present the award for best male and female debut.
The 'Best Female Debut' is won by someone Ji Hoon doesn't recognize, maybe she isn't very popular moving forward.
Next is the 'Best Male Debut' which Ji Hoon has been nominated for.
The nominees start showing up on the big screen one by one, showing their respective roles in the movies.
"And the award goes to... Kim Ji Hoon from 'The Burning Chalice'. Congratulations!"
*claps
Ji Hoon isn't really surprised because he expected this outcome, but the crews are all happy for him.
He steadily walks up the stage and receives the trophy from Emmy. She and Danny give him a hug before giving him the time for his speech.
"On my way up here, I was thinking it would be a disaster if I accidentally drop the trophy."
*facepalm
"That's the worst opening of a speech I've ever heard..." Emmy thought to herself.
"Since this is my first time, I'm just gonna do this normally. First I wanna thank the director for giving me a chance and picked me for the role when I had zero acting experience, I guess he might have been drunk that day."
*laughs
The director covers his face like 'I don't know that guy'.
"I also wanna thank my co-stars in the movie, they taught me about acting and life lessons, it was truly a pleasure to work with them. Thank you all for putting up with my all questions, I know it can be annoying sometimes."
"Next, I wanna thank my parents, my sister and my friends who are always there to support me, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of you."
"And I wanna thank the judges who voted for me for this award. I will do better in my next project and hopefully, I will be here again next year."
"And lastly I wanna thank the fans for all the love you give me and my character. I love you guys! Thank you so much!"
*cheers and claps
He returns to his seat with Emmy and Danny.
"Thanks for the surprise, but already I knew what was gonna happen when you first left your seat."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"Stop lying, I saw you looking around for me like a headless fly."
...
"You know I'm gonna get you back one day right?"
"Oh that'll have to wait for a few more years."

In the end, Emmy only won the 'Best Young Actress' but not the 'Best Actress' award, just like last year.
"Dissapointed?"
"A little bit, but I knew it was gonna be hard for me to win that award with this movie. It's still mainly focus on Danny, the main 'main character'."
"Don't worry, you'll have plenty of chances to win it in the future. And if you don't, well you still earned more money than most people in the world, so... look at the bright side."
"That's strangely comforting thank you..."
Later, 'The Burning Chalice' won the 'Best Fantasy Film' and 'Best Family Film' awards.
"I think that might be the first time I see the director smile today." Ji Hoon said jokingly.
