We got to Philadelphia late in the afternoon. There had been some bad weather which rerouted us for a few hours. The trip really wasn’t that bad. I had the books Gretal brought. I had hoped they were the latest Sophia Knightly releases, but alas Gretal was taking me down a more historical approach. Darn it! After the last few days with Mark, a romantic novel was much more appealing to me.
I have to say she at least gave me enjoyable fiction to get me started. The first book was called A Marked Man. It was a story of Abigail Adams solving a murder. I had never read anything like that so I dove in. By the time we landed, I had finished the book. I almost solved the case before Mrs. Adams, but she wrapped it all up in a nice, little bow.
