Chương 20: Chapter 20 Nami's Treasures
"Nezumi, what the hell do you want this time? " asks Bell-mere with anger as she looks at Captain Nezumi, a dog working for Arlong.
"I have nothing to do with you give way. " says Nezumi with a serious face as he pushes Bell-mere to the side as he walks past her when Nami walks out of the house right behind Nojiko as a smile formed at the corner of Nezumi' lips.
"Don't tell me Arlong sent him to steal my treasures? " murdered Nami under her breath as a bad premonition appeared in her head looking at the Rat.
"Are you the Pirate Thief Nami, well it's good that you are finally out, we have information from the Marine's sources that you have stolen treasures from the Pirates, the government hereby confiscates all the treasures you have stolen as government property.
So it is hereby required that you comply with us. " says Nezumi with a smile as he looks at Nami who doesn't say anything and only greets her teeth in anger so he again explains "Sorry, I think you didn't hear me the first time, so let me explain once more the government confiscates everything and you must comply immediately.
Do you understand? "
"I see you are very passionate about your duties but I am going to warn only once, I am one of the leaders of the Arlong Pirates.
So if you mess with me Arlong won't stay quiet. " threatened Nami with an evil smile knowing Nezumi works for Arlong.,
"hehehee~ Silly girl do you think you can intimidate me. " asks Nezumi with a smile before calling out "Go find the stolen goods. "
"Wait don't move. " looking at the Marine soldiers says Nami in anxiety but no one stops as she couldn't take it anymore when her years of efforts are going to get destroyed in a few moment before she rushed to attack the marines "I said stop. "
"Nami stop. " says Bell-mere with a serious face quickly stopping Nami from attacking the Mariners.
"But mom they are… " with water in her eyes Nami looks at Bell-mere in pain as she didn't understand why would Bell-mere stop her when she is fighting for them.
"Nami if you get in their way then you will be going against the government and the whole village will be in big trouble. " explained Bell-mere with a sad tone before hugging Nami so she can't do something foolish.
"Then what are we going to do once they take everything, just how long will it take for me to gather that much again? " cried Nami in Bell-mere's arms.
"Nezumi, tell me something did Arlong send you? " asks Bell-mere with anger looking at Nezumi who has an indifferent face.
"Don't you know we Marines are only the government dogs and puppets, how dare we to work with the Pirates. " says Nezumi with a sarcastic smile looking at Bell-mere when someone in the Marine calls out "Captain I have found it it's under this tree. "
"Alright man go ahead, dig it out. " cried out Nezumi with a smile as he walks over.
"Nezumi you bastard, why are you taking the money from my daughter who gathered everything to save the village while you bastards who should save, whom the villagers are always waiting for is stealing from us.
Do you have any human compassion? " says Bell-mere with anger leaving Nami and holding Nezumi by the collar.
"Let go of me Bell-mere, how dare you to hold my collar all this time I didn't say anything because you used to work as Marine in the past but if you insist believe me I won't show murcy anymore. " cried out Nezumi with anger before slapping Bell-mere away from him before saying "Although it's a capital crime to lay your hand on a Marine however today i am going forgive you for once since you used to a fellow Marine. "
"Sir the money are in a bad condition. " cried out the Marine solders after digging out everything from under the soil.
"It's alright man, money is still money no matter the condition. " says Nezumi with a smile taking a bundle in hand.
"Nezumi don't take it, this money belong to the whole village for our freedom. " says Genzo with a serious face to persuade Nezumi.
"Are you suggesting this whole village to be a criminal and I should catch everyone? " asks Nezumi with a smile turning towards Genzo who has no other choice but to shut his mouth.
"Nezumi you bastard first you won't arrest those Arlong Pirates and now you are even stealing from Nami, how dare you call yourself a Marine? " asks Bell-mere in anger looking at Nezumi.
"It's not your position to question my authority. " looking at so much money says Nezumi with a smile since he is raither happy he disregarded her before ordering "What are you guys still waiting for let's get moving already. "
After the argument with Nami and Bell-mere who can not persuade Nezumi, Nojiko finally steps in to scold Nezumi but the guy is so blinded by wealth that he can't even see right from wrong while disregarding their criticism making Nami press her teeth in anger before rushing to attack when Nezumi takes out his gun before calling out "Don't say I didn't warn you. "
Bang~
"Nojiko??? " cried out Nami and Bell-mere with worry when Nojiko rushed in front of Nami to take the bullet for her.
"Nami I am sorry. " says Nojiko before losing consciousness.
"NOJIKO NOOO~ " cried out Nami in dispare when Nojiko falls to the ground as she felt her world getting dark from tge sudeden develpment Nojiko is dead.
"Nezumi you bastard. " cried out Bell-mere with anger and pain as she rushed towards Nojiko as tears started falling from her eyes.
BANG~
"Like I said I won't tolerate your insolence anymore. " before Bell-mere can aproch him another gun shot can be heard as Bell-mere also hits the ground as Nezumi orders "Man shoot anyone witjout restraint whoever tries to stop us. "
"Nezumi you basterd I won't let you go. " soon after Bell-mere falls on tbe ground Nami stands up with completely devoid of emotion before announcing with anger.
"Nami don't. " however before Nami can rush up to Nezumi Alex stops her from doing something she will regret later.
"Let go of me, he killde my mothe and sister. " cried out Nami as she tried to get herself free from Alex's hold looking at Nezumi and the Marines leaving with all her treasures now how is she going to save her village.
"Don't they are safe. "
