Miles in the middle of the almost completely empty camp was watching the explosions a few miles away while listening to the roars and screams that followed, he felt a slight anxiety then.

Miles turned his head and saw about a hundred meters away, a monster about two meters tall with bat wings, a lizard body, a pterodactyl skull and blood red eyes crushing a tent under which several soldiers were standing, reducing them to a pulp of flesh.

The demon looked around with its bulging eyes and seeing the soldiers defending the camp approaching let out a loud shriek that forced Miles to cover his ears with his hands before flapping his wings and flying towards the soldiers.

"Demons have entered the camp!"

"Look up in the sky another portals is opening!"

In the sky across the sea, hundreds of small portals opened up and a wave of winged monsters of various shapes flew towards the camp.

The entire camp was immediately agitated, the remaining armed soldiers quickly formed around certain key points of the camp while all the vehicles armed with mana missiles flew into the sky in defense formation and fired at all the monsters in range.

Despite the volley of fire, the monsters managed to penetrate the camp, forcing the soldiers and the very few mercenaries present to fight.

A man with short blue hair dressed in a brown shirt and black jeans and a pair of sports shoes stood in the middle of the sea with a slightly serious look on his face as he looked away from the shoreline while tens of thousands of monsters rushed towards him.

"The camp is under attack, how can so many portals appear without any warning?"

Seeing all the monsters swept away by the storm, he turned his gaze to the battlefield on the beach in the distance, admiring the intense fighting that was going on there.

Aiden sighed and then with one step disappeared leaving behind a sea of corpses.

A few minutes earlier at the camp

Miles, holding the knife Fujiwara had given him, nervously watched the hundreds of monsters destroying everything in their path and attacking the soldiers and mercenaries around them.

As Miles watched the soldiers being torn apart by the monsters' claws, he became even more nervous as the monsters came closer and closer to his position.

Finally the inevitable happened, the monsters submerging the camp arrived at his position, one of them resembling the fusion of a giant squirrel and a crocodile jumped in his direction opening its jaws wide.

Miles' weak mana exploded out of his body pushing his physical abilities to the max as the blade of his knife surrounded by a whitish aura became stronger and sharper.

Miles murmured in a daze before jumping back, narrowly dodging the beast's bite, and without stopping, taking a deep breath, he leaned forward and leapt toward the monster.

The scarlet pupils of the monster dilated, it opened its mouth again to try to bite Miles who was advancing towards him, but when the two were barely 10 cm from each other, Miles gave a blow with his hand holding the knife and before the beast could even touch him, his head was cut off and rolled on the ground in the middle of the chaos that was the battlefield.
