Chương 20: The boss

The map navigated onto the temple of destruction, which is located near a skating park.
I used [Teleport] and teleported closely to a nearby toilet and bought eleven [Smoke of Deceit]

I used it, went invisible and went into the Temple of Destruction.
As soon as I went inside, all I saw was a pitch black sky and myself in a desert of white sands, with 10 white holy looking pyramids with around 100 metre distance to one another lining up to a giant white pyramid located at the edge of my vision stretching up towards the sky.
I have to be extremely careful here. Two laser shots from the [Ancient Giant] alone can kill me.

I used another [Smoke of Deceit] and looked around to try and find my enemies. I went inside one of the pyramids and found a seemingly sleeping [Ancient Giant], an eiffel tower-tall rock giant with perfectly carved and smooth edges.
I went closer to try and get him into my attack range, as soon as I did that, I shot him with an arrow.

He woke up, as indicated by his red-glowy eyes, turning into a white glow with what appeared to be light particles around him. I kept on attacking him as he did that, luckily, my [Reaper Scythe] triggered and his laser got cancelled.

I kept on attacking him, but to no afail my [Reaper Scythe] wasn't triggered so I had to manually activate it.

[Ancient Giant:

This is going well, I am single sidedly killing him without receiving any damage as his laser seems to take sometime to channel.
Or so I thought. After attacking him a few times, my [Reaper Scythe] didn't get triggered and he launched his laser onto me. I wasn't able to dodge at all. He shot his laser at the speed of light from his eyes as soon as he looked at me. Luckily, my [Burrowed Time] activated automatically.

I kept shooting him until his health was fairly low.

And at one of the last shot, my arrow triggered a [Reaper Scythe], dealing 5300 magic damage, and it died on the spot.
That wasn't tough at all, I just need to do this slowly.

As soon as the cooldown of [Borrowed Time] and [Reaper Scythe] finished, I became invisible and went to another pyramid and killed another [Ancient Giant] with a similar manner as I did on the other one.
As soon as both of them died, I waited for my cooldown to finish and went outside and saw eight [Ancient Giant] leaving their pyramids.
Oh, I'm dead.
[Smoke of Deceit] x7 <-1>.
For a moment, I was surprised and shocked when I saw them. Luckily, I immediately used [Smoke of Deceit] and I was safe. I'm not sure how I can defeat them all, but it's time to make a plan in these 20 seconds.
With my [Split Shot] and [Magus Talent] I should be able to kill them with the simulation of:
1. 4 first shots, a reaper scythe triggers, leaving 5 them at 8300 hp. [Borrowed Time] activates from the laser damage from the other 3 [Ancient Golem] leaving me 9 seconds alive.
2. In those 9 seconds, I can shoot 15 arrows, which statistically should trigger at least 3 reaper scythes, killing them all.
3. When the duration of [Borrowed Time] expired, I immediately used [Refresher Orb], which refreshed my [Borrowed Time] skill duration and gave me another 9 seconds to kill three of them.
4. I might live if [Reaper Scythe] triggers. If it doesn't trigger, run away and use smoke of deceit with a better chance of living.
I'm prepared. I have repeated the scenario multiple times in my head and it seems doable. This is the fastest way to kill them I can think of without getting myself exhausted.

I shot arrows at them as soon as I was in range to shoot 5 of them, and 8 of them immediately charged their lasers at me. As planned, [Borrowed Time] was activated.
I kept shooting 5 of them while they also shoot their lasers at me. Unlucky for them, I have [Borrowed Time] leaving me invincible to damage.
5 of them died one by one, and so does my [Borrowed Time] duration.
3 of them left.
As one of them prepared to charge their laser, I activated [Refresher Orb], refreshing the cooldown of my [Borrowed Time] and I didn't receive any damage.
I killed 2 of them in a similar manner, and my [Borrowed Time] duration ended too.
I manually activated [Reaper Scythe] to the last [Ancient Golem] and it died beautifully.
Oh yeah it felt so good when everything went according to plan.
I waited a couple minutes for my abilities and items to finish their cooldowns and then took my rest.
As my energy was all back and ready, I went to the Everest-tall pyramid.
As soon as I went inside, the giant door behind me closed down and everything went gloomy.
The only thing visible to me was the shadow of the boss, sitting on a dark throne in the middle of the pyramid.

I used another [Smoke of Deceit] and tried to get closer.
However, on my first step, I wasn't able to feel the floor. I nearly fell into that super dark space.
I had no choice, so I consumed the [Moon Shard], giving me [Night Vision] and [Consumed Moon Shard] abilities.

As my field of vision widened and cleared, I saw no steps leading to the throne, only a giant pillar in the centre with a throne on top of it, and a shadow of the boss.
The only way for me to get there is to use [Teleport] to get there immediately, but it's quite risky. There could be a trap there. If it's dangerous there, I could just use [Refresher Orb] and teleport somewhere safe.
Alright, it's decided.

I teleported to the throne in front of the shadow and I was shocked.
I saw the boss exactly as I saw him.
