This year had been, eventful really. It was focused on learning about himself as a whole, getting knowledge over his life, and how he wanted to be during it.
Notable things is he had gained quite a few skills
Sneaking: 6/10
The ability to remain undetected while sneaking
Backstab: 3/10
Attacking from the behind does extra damage
Hunter's Sense: 8/10
The ability to track your prey
Hand To Hand: 10/10
How hard you can hit with your fist
Archery: 8/10
Skills with using a bow and how well you can hit a target
Acting: 4/10
The ability to use your skill in acting to make your words more believable, and in acting out emotions and reactions.
Smithing: 5/10
The ability to force.
Parkour: 7/10
The skill which allows free running over obstacles and allows easier movement when attempting to climb
Cold Weapon: 5/10
Mastery over cold weapons.
Hot Weapon: 4/10
Mastery over Hot/Live weapons
A few things he has learned hasn't exactly meant in a skill being created, it seemed only certain skills had been created when he trained in them
Cold and Hot Weapon skills appeared when he asked if the skills about weapons could be collapsed into one skill, because having a ton of skills showing up for each individual gun, type of sword or shield he learned to use was annoying to say the least.
He had also further realized he can, after he's looked at it once he can reduce the information it shows
(This is so when showing skills, I'm not just filling up the word counter. An Aux chapter will be created with better explanation's of the skills and what they do, along with a far more descriptive Status page as a whole.)
The biggest thing is he learned skills are a very, 'Broad' scope of things, Hunter's sense was used to mark his 'Prey' but it could be, anything he deemed what he wanted. If he wanted quarters, his vision would focus to find quarters, highlighting possible locations.
Parkour was even weirder, it said better movements and easier climbing, but that didn't explain how he was able to jump building to building, sprint along walls for certain periods of time, hell he could practically wall jump back and forth.
In reality he should lose momentum after a point, but his body isn't under such 'Mortal' shackles.
If he so wanted to he could run up walls, of course falling was still a very real possibility, but with his body even if he got down to just a single point of HP, he'd be able to bounce right back up and sprint off
A few more things he learned was that he doesn't have 'Stats' that show his abilities in numbers, when he asked the system it simply stated 'As he level's up, his body better accommodates the changes.'
Which, was a very vague thing, but further experimenting lead him to realize he could do more then he could before. His bodies limits were, loose.
When he first started training, his recorded standing jump was only 65 inches, at least that's what he thought.
Apparently his 'Only' is actually the world record of this world, and he noticed as he leveled up, that limit only got raised even further.
Currently his status looked like this
Rain Mercer
Class: Rogue 4/10
Health: 100%
Mana: 100%
A second thing to note now that it's been brought to attention a few times, is that there is a skill limit to 10.
Not because that's the 'Limit' of each skill, but because that's the limit for this world.
He learned despite already having magical equipment, including Death's Coin, due to the way the world is he wouldn't unlock many magical elements, and because of the limit of this world, also meant the limit of his overall growth for skills.
He did learn however he didn't have to worry about not having magic, he did have a few magical skills that for some reason didn't appear as skills.
He had to assume that since his wish was a 'System like the Gamers' he got a different system then the actual gamer. Which he didn't mine, it was still absurdly useful, and honestly it was easier not worrying about points to distribute.
The magical skills he did have were very, very basic elemental control of the four main elements, he felt like the avatar, if he was nerfed, like really nerfed.
He could summon a flame the size of a lighter, which in perspective is still cool as hell. It made his matches useless, but not really since he wasn't planning to just use magic in front of normal people.
He could conjure small amounts of water, and it's drinkable, actually really fresh as well.
Well, not exactly 'Small' persay, if he pumped enough mana into it, his current limit was to summon about a water bottle worth at once, and he could do this quite a few times before he needed to wait for his mana to come back.
He can mold earth very slowly, scale doesn't matter really but the 'Mass' of how much he wishes to move depends on how fast his mana drains, and how long it would take to move.
Moving a small rock was easy, like minor telekinesis really but focused around 'Earth' as a whole.
But let's say if he wanted to create a corner table made out of earth? It would take him a few minutes. Which is long, but at the same time it's still really useful. If he wanted to he could create a small 'Tent' of earth and close it off to the outside, it would take him a few hours but it only made it easier over time as he felt the use of mana get easier. 'On the Go' shelter is always useful.
Wind was, decent? He could create small gusts sure, but they had no real use, he could flip skirts really. But being in an anime world, a single drop of ink away from being a hentai? The world already worked in mysterious ways.
In just his year here, he has ended up in 63 rather 'Risky' encounters, all by luck. Seeing panties, being fell on, the classic face full of boobs.
Hell, in his time training with Saeko alone had netted him at least 24 of them.
Which is another thing, he was in the same highschool as the main cast, and was in the same year as Saeko. He had joined the Kendo club to learn, only to have grown quite close to Saeko as an actual person
She was smart, skilled with a weapon, calm and caring. There was the sadistic side of course, but that was easily manageable.
At first they started as friends, but as she spared with Rain, she learned he was a prodigy with fighting and they would often spar together, not always with bokken, but usually with the wooden swords.
Saeko due to her following the bushido code was mature, keeping her emotions from over whelming her, and without realizing it. Rain had actually made her begin to like him because of his skill Gamer's mind and his own moral code.
