Chương 8: 8. He Like Likes Me?
"I am so sorry" I exclaimed to Troy and Tristan as soon as I saw the boys coming up to me.
"What do you have to be sorry about?" Tristan said patting my shoulders and looking down at me. While I am quite tall at 5ft 8 inches tall Tristan is well over 6 foot tall he might even be close to 6'5". Troy also gave me a kind reassuring smile.
"I didn't know you boys had to work, I don't want you to be in trouble with your boss because you had Reya with you."
Troy smiled widely, " My mom and dad run this restaurant, and Reya has been with my little brother most of the time."
Then I felt a tingle run up my spine as I turned to look further into the restaurant. Matthew was walking toward us. I could feel myself growing hot and blush as he approached us.
"Hey boys you can get back to cleaning up for the night." Matthew said with a tone that suggests to me that he knows Tristan and Troy. " Hi Renee. It's good to see you more than once in a day." Matthew smiled I actually feel faint did he mean he would like to see me more or is he just being polite. My face must look a mess of emotions right now. "Come sit with me for a bit." Matthew touched my hand interlocking our fingers, more zapps travel from my hand up my arm my face flushed again. This man makes me feel ..... I can't even explain it to myself how I feel.
" Oh, I would love to but I need to get Reya, I already imposed on Troy and Tristan so much today." I rushed out and said but never let my hand slip from his.
"Reya is right there." Matthew pointed to a table near the back of the restaurant, "Ethan has taken a liking to her," he chuckled wow what a lovely laugh, " He is sleeping in her lap, we can go and check on them, Ok " he suggested leading me over to the table.
"Hi hunny how's your day been?" I asked Reya who looked like she was holding a giant doll in her lap, so sweet.
"Hi mom," she Spoke in a whisper tone. " This is Ethan, and that is my new best friend Wesley." I looked to the other side of the table to a young boy of maybe 11 or 12 he looked like a young Troy with lighter hair and a more serious aura about him.
"Hi Wesley, thank you so much for spending your evening with Reya."
"I wouldn't want to do anything else, Miss. We completed our homework and it is a weekend, so would it be ok if we could spend more time together?" he asked just as I had expected he is quite serious, I looked at Reya and her little cheeks were pink as could be with a blush. I can only imagine how happy she has bin this afternoon if Wesley has been showering her with attention the whole time.
"Of course Wesley Renee and I were just about to sit and have a chat anyways."
Matthew answered for me it was strange because instead of annoying I found it endearing.
Matthew pulled out a chair for me at a table not far from the kids.
"So....um I'm really confused." I went ahead and admit it to Matthew I font know exactly what's going one, but I don't feel unsafe just maybe slightly uneasy.
Matthew chuckled again and the sound just makes me want to melt. " So it seem that Troy and Tristan met you the other day at the beach. I actually didn't know about that at all, until after they came back. You see Tristan is my son and Troy is my cousin Donna's son. After I had been talking about you and that I really wanted to see you outside of you taking care of E than's hand." he is still talking and explaining the circumstance but my mind is still in a fog, does he mean that he wants to spend time with me like as a man and woman. Does he see me as a woman, like how I see him as a man. My eye must look like a deer in head lights, because Matthew reaches over to me and strokes my palm with his thumb.
"Hey are you Ok?"
"So your interstate in me, and your not married, and it's a crazy coincidence that we met Tristan and Troy, and Ethan and Reya get along too?" I blurt out in the form of a question.
Matthew stood up and pulled me to stand up. he wrapped his strong arms around me and pulled me into a close embrace. "I think you got the just of it. I want us to build a relationship together." he looked into my eyes as he said it, my mind and body screamed to me with tingling zaps running up and down my body, YES. I couldn't get my voice, so I nodded my head head yes.
Matthew and I stayed talking and it felt so natural and right. Finally I noticed Reya starting to doze off a bit and Wesley shifting Ethan to his lap to make Reya more comfortable.
"I think it's time to call it a night the kids are very tierd." I told Matthew
"you of course are correct, can I see you tomorrow, you can bring the girls to my house and we can talk more I have a pool too if the girls like to swim." Matthew offered.
"ok," I answered simply. I gathered Reya up and Wesley stood as well still holding Ethan. Matthew and Wesley walked us to the door and we drove home. it's almost 1 am wow no wonder Reya was so tired. Aja still isn't home, but with new friends she might be staying at one of their houses. I shoot Aja a quick text making sure she is ok. I wait for a bit for a response, but climb into bed and sleep over takes me quickly.
When I wake up in the morning it still fairly early around 7:30 but when I go to. check on Aja she still wasn't home and there was no response from the text I sent her last night. Now I'm starting to worry, am not exactly sure what to do next.
