Dane had become progressively more stressed about exposure over time but he hadn't expected it to go over as well it as did when Ginger finally called him out on it. Well, she wasn't stupid. She could have put the pieces together easily enough after they spent so much time together.
She took it calmly but when she asked how he looked human and he took his glamour off, all she did was stare at him and his first thought was that he looked scary to her. He didn't want that!
He quickly tried to explain that werewolves weren't a danger to humans and she reached out to hold his hands. "Hey. You aren't scary looking at all."
"I'm not?"
"No."
Dane's heart flooded with relief. If she didn't think he was scary…and she was holding his hands…did that mean she wasn't going to reject him now that she knew what he was?
"Really? You still like me then?" he asked hopefully.
