Chương 154: New Case

Days fled like seconds. Hours in the council for Evelyn were like she was entering a library. She went there, read the files of old cases and returned to the palace. Elric's irregularities kept on increasing. Even if she wanted to speak to him, he kept on ignoring her, giving some lame excuses which she was well aware of. 

Entering the cabin, she noticed it was empty, no one had arrived yet, same like her life. She went and took a seat. Soon after Mr Saemus arrived followed by Alfred.

"We got a new case and will have to leave, Miss Evelyn," Mr Saemus informed her. The urgency was obvious in his actions. 

She quickly stood up and when was about to follow, Mr Saemus said, "Mr Frithswith will be arriving anytime soon. As we can't wait more, I and Alfred will leave. You can arrive thereafter he comes."
