Chương 58: Councilman murder case

Evelyn looked at him with curiosity, wanting to learn about the case. Elric took his sweet time to begin which made her impatient every passing second. She wondered if he did that intentionally.

"Baronet Hutch used to work under Mr Aldrich. After I came here, I followed him because he was the main and first suspect we found. That man showered in gold coins over the night. Mr Wilkin suspected something was wrong with him.

After a few days, the man approached Mr Wilkin saying he needed to talk about something important. Your uncle was occupied with council duties on that day, therefore the meeting was postponed. And the man was slain that night." Elric gave her a briefing.

"Was he going to reveal something that might have ruined the plan therefore he was murdered before he could expose anything?" She asked.

"Looks like it,"
