***ADDIE'S POV***
What did the goddess just say? Clearly I had not heard her correctly. This city, she called it Adaiah, but that's impossible. That name, it… it was my name. My first ever name. The one I had when I was nothing more than a sylph, a spirit of the wind.
It was my name when I longed for more of a life. When I wanted to live with the people, not weaving through them forever with the fluidity of the breeze. In my mind, that made this city me, not just a place I was going to live.
"Mother Goddess?" My voice was weak and cracked when I spoke. "This city-." I started, but couldn't finish what I'd been about to say.
"It's your new home, Addie. This city is a representation of all eight nations. It is fifteen square miles. Each nation has a five square mile block, as does the heart of the city, here where your palace is."
"It's so big." I whispered, not sure what else to say.
