**ADDIE'S POV**

"Addie, come with me, please." The headmaster beckoned me in his direction. He was looking over the crowd warily, as if he wasn't sure who to trust or if he wanted to turn his back on anyone at the moment. "We need to discuss this in my office."

"Yes, Headmaster." I nodded, feeling scared and nervous as I walked toward the exit with him. I made sure not to look at anyone or anything as I left the ball. My eyes were fixed intently on the door at the far side of the open area and nothing else.

I didn't notice that anyone else was walking with us, but when we arrived at the headmaster's office, Nolan was there with me, along with most of my staff. Well, at least the staff that was at the ball with me. It all felt like a tense and awkward situation, and I was sure things were going to take a turn for the worse.
