**CALLUM'S POV**

I was a little pissed off that I had been told that I could not participate in the hunt for the other vampires. I knew the reasons behind it, but that didn't mean that I had to like it. I accepted it though. However, I still had something else that I was able to do. There was still work to be done on this matter, and it was something that only I was able to do.

I thought about it the entire time that I was riding back to Athea that afternoon. I hadn't even been at the Academy for half of a day, and I didn't even get to see Addie. I felt miserable when I left, but I knew that I would see her soon. She would have her time with me at the Academy for the family visits, and then she would be home for the summer.

Home was best, really. Addie had been through so much already, and it was just her first year at the Academy. If I thought that she would listen to me at all, I would forbid her from ever attending again.
