**ADDIE'S POV**

That afternoon, I left my friends in the Student Commons building and headed over toward the Runes building. I wasn't alone, of course. My guards were with me as they always were. Still, I was excited. They would leave me alone when I was in Nolan's office, because they knew that they didn't have to be distrustful of him. And that meant that I got to relax when I was in there.

Well, sometimes I got to relax, others he was a little more passionate and needy than others. I couldn't even count how many times we just spent an afternoon snuggling each other on the sofa in his office. He would hold me in his arms and kiss me on my lips, my cheeks, and my neck.

Things weren't moving beyond that, but it was still pretty steamy for what I was used to. Nolan and I had not done too much in the past, just the occasional kisses that happened in the spur of the moment. And, well, we had accidentally seen each other naked, but that had not been on purpose at all.
