As soon as the young man walked out supporting some one else, the building collapsed to the floor right from the top floor to the ground with a very loud sound.
The audience could not believe what just happened. How lucky could someone be to so narrowly escape death? This was the first time they were seeing such a think. It was something that they have never heard of either.
Aurora was very oblivious if the gazes of the people around since she was used to getting baffled stares from people because of how different she was from them.
"Do you need a doctor?" a man asked sympathetically. Helen has been coughing since they got out of the building.
"No, I am fine," Helen replied shaking her head.
"Are you sure?" Aurora asked looking all over Helen to see if she got injured.
"Yes, I am sure. I am fine. I just need water," Helen said with a painful smile. Her chest was very uncomfortable but she did not want Aurora to leave her behind again because of that.
"Ok," Aurora said and gave her a water container from her bag.
"Thanks," Helen said with her voice hoarse obvious that she took a lot of energy to talk.
"Hmm. I will get your horse. Wait here," Aurora said and left.
"You are one of the guests who stared in the room the fire began from, right?" A man dressed in the red and black uniform of the kingdoms guards asked Helen.
"I don't know. The fire might have started from my room but I was asleep so I don't know," Helen said with a confident frown despite how ridiculous what she just said sounded.
"You were asleep, so you don't know whether the fire started from your room or not?" The guard asked with a pleased smile.
He was happy that he had found someone he could arrest immediately and take back to his senior so he could receive a huge reward. The boy before him looked so delicate so he knew that he won't have any problem arresting him.
"You will have to come with me," he said as he removed a rope to tie Helen's hands together.
"No, I will not go with you because I don't know why," Helen replied looking around for Aurora. She was asked to watch over Aurora's horse and she did not want to leave with the stranger before her.
"Why? Are you scared?" the guard asked with a scoff. He thought the youth will stretch his hand out without hesitation. He could easily defeat the youth if they have to fight each other but that will attract attention and he does not want his colleagues to get involved it they will have to share the reward together.
"No, but I won't go with you. I must know the reason why I have to go with you," Helen stood her ground confidently.
"You definitely will not survive it if I tell everyone here that you set the in on fire. They will kill you here because a lot of people died in it," the guard said as he caught Helen's wrists while she struggled with him.
"I did not set the inn on fire someone else did," Helen said although she did not want to let this guard know because it wi only make Aurora get involved.
"Who sent the fire then?" the guard asked. He remembered the person that brought out this weak youth from the fire and he knows that that person is not ordinary and he will be hard to arrest that young man.
"A man, he came to kill my master and I," Helen replied begging her stars to hasten Aurora's footsteps.
"Take your hands off," Aurora said with her already deep voice further deepening. A dangerous frown showed she was very displeased. She also put her hand on her sword to fight at anytime.
"So, you are the person who set the inn on fire, right?" the guard asked despite the fear he felt from the overwhelming presence of the man before him. It was with great difficulty that he could avoid stammering.
Aurora walked closer. "What do you think you are doing to this young man who just got out of the fire and he is weak?" Aurora asked making sure to portray enough anger in her voice.
The man gulped but refused to release Helen's wrist. "You will get arrested too for setting the inn on fire with this youth," the guard said as he began wrapping the rope around Helen's wrists.
All these was making Aurora really displeased. She began to suspect the guard has something to do with the fire. She turned to Helen. "Is this the man who tired you up and set the room on fire?" Aurora asked confidently.
Rhe guards eyes became saucers shaped and his expression became unsightly. "I am a guard. Why will I set the inn on fire?"
"She was inside, why will she set the inn fire and remain inside?" Aurora snapped and removed his hands from Helen's wrist with enough force to make it swing in the opposite direction involuntarily.
"You . . . You . . ." the guard said shaking his index finger at Aurora.
If they were in the capital with her identity as the princess, she could have his finger chopped off for being disrespectful towards her but here she could only ignore because she was no longer the princess but an assassin on a secret mission.
She was the Werewolf Alphas Slayer and she could not be bothered by the nonsense he had to do. If he however, tries to delay her journey, she will have to punish him.
"What is happening here," the guard's senior asked walking towards them with four other guards with him.
"I caught them, they set the inn on fire," the guard said pointing fingers at Aurora and Helen.
They were already having a good number of audience watching the show. Some believed the guests were responsible and others did not.
"Arrest them," the senior immediately ordered the other men behind them.
