Chương 45: ...Hometown...
It has been four days since that night. Rose tried to act normally to not make the situation more awkward between them, but Hans ignored her completely. Even when she talked to him, he pretended to not listen.
" This bastard, he is getting on my nerve by that attitude of his."
The battalion suddenly stopped:
- Your Highness, what way should we go? Asked Sir Jude
- We are out of supplies, we will go that way. There is a village at the end of the forest. It will provide us with what we need for the rest of our trip. And one last thing, from now on, call me commander.
The knights crossed the forest and arrived at a small village.
Rose seemed quite happy
" I'm finally back"
They entered the village carefully to not scare its people. It was kind of small but very lively.
The chief welcomed them into his house.
- We are the troop knights of the empire. Said Hans.
- Welcome, I'm honored to have you as my guests.
- We will spend the night here.
The chief took them to a big room
- I'm sorry, my house is not that big, I only have this room available.
- It is okay, this room is enough for us.
- Thank you, Sir, If you need anything, just tell me.
- Take Miss Yvine to the market, she knows what we need. We will be leaving tomorrow morning.
- As you wish, Sir.
Rose stepped forward
- Can I go with them, commander?
- You may go.
Replied Hans without even looking at her.
- ME TOO ( Screamed David) I mean, they will need someone to carry the supplies with them.
- Fine, don't be late.
The chief took them to the market. Rose was covering her head while looking around her. She seemed like she was avoiding someone.
- Miss Rose, what's wrong?
- Nothing, the sunlight is too strong.
" Did she think I'm an idiot? She has been acting weird since we came to this village. I must keep an eye on her.
They bought what they needed, then they headed back. Rose suddenly stopped and gave them what she was carrying:
- There is something important I want to buy, go-ahead both of you I will be back later.
- WAIT, DON'T GO.
Screamed Yvine while trying to follow her, but she couldn't because of the heavy stuff she was carrying along with David.
- This is like a deja vu, I have a bad feeling about that.
David and Yvine went back to the chief's House:
- We bought everything we need. Said Yvine while trying to hide her worries with a smile
- Where is she? Asked Hans.
" Another deja vu"
- She said that she is going to buy something on her own... Well, the town is small, she won't get lost. She will be back soon...I hope.
Meanwhile, Rose headed directly to her house. She was really happy to see them again.
- I hope they are fine, I missed them too much.
But when she arrived, her happiness faded away. Her house was in total ruins.
- What the hell did happen here? Why the house is like this?
She entered while screaming
- DAD.....DAD.....MONICA..... MELISSA... WHERE ARE YOU? I'M BACK.
No one was there, the house was empty.
" Where are they? Where did they go? Was it because of the debt?"
Rose became very worried about her family, she didn't expect to see her house in such condition, it was clearly robbed.
" Those bastards, if something happened to Dad, I will kill all of them"
