This afternoon Grace just stayed in the room. After she gave young Kyle dinner, she immediately shut herself in the room. It's not that she's too lazy to work. It's just that... the incident this morning that she just saw drained her sanity. She was still very upset about it. Moreover... she had been mentally shaken before, she did not want the same thing to happen again. No... Alex isn't Grace's family. It was just that the man Grace had just met. He is an amicable and cheerful man. How could his life be so short and die in such a... horrible way.
"Miss Hester, are you in there?" a man's voice came from behind the door. Of course, after a quiet knock on Grace's door, it sounded a little louder.
Grace hugged her legs. The face that she had sunked to her thighs was lifted. Then, she tilted her pretty face. He knew the source of that voice. The older man was always so formal with her.
"Come in, Gob... my bedroom door is unlocked." replied Grace.
"But, Miss—"
"Come in, please don't argue, Gob." asked Grace. Moments later, Grace's door opened. There was only a black figure standing behind the door as if the figure was hesitant to enter.
Grace knew that Gob was shy, besides. . . the room had no light. Grace had all the lights turned off. Grace got out of bed, then turned on in the morning, so Gob dared to come into her room. Even though Gob did enter, the older man preferred to stand formally with his head lowered. His right hand is folded forward, while his left hand is behind his back.
This was weird, and Grace knew that she was just a worker, just like Gob in this place. But Gob's behaviour, as if Grace is the Mistress of this house. It's not behaving like a fellow worker, but more like... a subordinate who submits to a superior.
"Sorry, Miss Hester... what happened to Mr. Alex, should be erased from your memory immediately."
"Why, Gob?"
"Because, in this house... there will never be time to just remember things like that, Miss... after all, it was just an accident. A fate from the Heavens."
Grace was silent, and she confirmed Gob's words. Afterall, what happened to Alex wasn't her fault. It's just that a terrible incident happened to occur in front of her eyes. However, Grace still could not forget about it. Besides, there was nothing wrong with grieving.
"Okay, Gob... what do I have to do after this?" Grace changed the subject. Though it was not easy for her, she showed a smile. The older man looked down. With a straight face, he handed a piece of paper to Grace.
"Young Master Kyle wants you to do this, Miss."
Grace took the slip of paper that Gob held out. The report is the same colour as the paper she found a few days ago—bright yellow with black ink streaks inside.
Grace was about to thank Gob, but alas... the older man had already left her room.
'Smile, Grace.'
The contents of the short message Gob brought from young Kyle. Grace frowned, she was confused. Was she so important that her Master, Kyle, gave such a special message? However, if she was special, young Kyle should have said it directly, not by handing her a piece of paper like this. Moreover, it was through Gob.

Marvin cleared his throat many times, and he looked at Nicholas' sturdy back. He was motionless in his place. Nicholas, his Master, was now sitting proudly examining some of the files he had just given him. Shortly after, Nicholas turned his chair over. The sharp eagle eyes stared at Marvin inescapably.
"If I want Bowman's heart, can you do it?" asked Nicholas. He threw the file on the floor, right in front of Marvin.
"I'm sorry, Nick. Trust me next time—"
"Tsk!" Nicholas flicked his tongue and Marvin's words came to a halt. He propped up his chin with both hands, his gaze fixed on Marvin. "I thought it was only Sean that was stupid here, but apparently . . . you too."
"But, Nick—"
"Hurry up and kill that damn family before I get mad, Marvin! What do you think I've lived all this time for? To kill you?!"
Marvin immediately looked down when Nicholas threw the crystal glass filled with wine so hard that it shattered.
Yes, Marvin knew... how much Nicholas hated the Bowmans. How come Nicholas has a grudge against a family that doesn't even know him? However, Marvin knew more than anyone that they are a family that was very difficult to catch. They moved swiftly as if the whereabouts of their members were easy to track.
"Damn it!" Marvin cursed silently. He should not have wasted this golden opportunity when the Bowmans were in London. But unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, that damned family couldn't be caught.
Marvin should have realized that he should dedicate his life to Nicholas. In fact, without Nicholas' interception back then, Marvin wouldn't have been able to live until now.
"Give me one more chance, Nick . . . please." asked Marvin a little pitifully.
Nicholas sighed heavily, his eagle eyes staring at Marvin, who was now bowing his head deeper.
"Hey, Nick! We've got easy prey, you know! The Omar family are going to London. We can loot it!"
Sean entered. Without knocking on the door, he immediately fell silent. Looking at Marvin, who was kneeling, files were scattered on the floor. Moreover… who shattered the wine glass. He knew that his cousin was in a bad mood right now. So, not to say much, is something he must do before he is skinned or chopped.
