Chương 170: Income
Leo laughed at his little revenge.
"How the hell do you even manage to get 9000$ in furniture!?" asked Valentina.
"Quite simple in all honesty, just look for those "Vintage" pieces and stuff, you will quickly hit the cap that way."
Leo started listing the list of furniture he wanted for the basement and Valentina's expression grew worse and worse the longer Leo went on.
"And finally there would be the Zetra hyper comfort special formula gel clocking in at 700$."
At this point, Valentina was defeated.
"You sure you can't cut back a little...?"
"Nope! Absolutely not! All the furniture and resources I buy are all essentials for me to live, if I cut back in the slightest it would simple be unbearable for me!"
Leo put up a little act and Valentina noticed, getting only more annoyed.
"Fine... You win. I've learned my lesson from this." said Valentina as she prepared the transactions.
Leo smiled.
"That's good, in that case I will be going over to inform Aria."
Leo walked off as he heard Valentina silently curse.
Leo once again navigated the mansion a bit until he reached the study room.
Well, that was what it officially was called.
Valentina had already told him that Aria pretty much claimed that room, she was there most of the day dealing with paperwork and Valentina found her asleep in the study room multiple times already.
Over the time Aria moved her bed there and started sleeping there more often.
Technically she still had a room upstairs, but she slept more in the study.
Leo knocked on the door three times before opening the door.
To no one's surprise, Aria was sitting at her desk dealing with the paperwork.
Aria noticed that Leo had entered the room and stopped for a second.
"You're here to help me with paperwork already?"
"Hah, you wish. I've hidden some guns around the house in case of an assault on the mansion, they're mostly to stall the attackers and you should probably know where they are."
"Oh, you're getting to work already?"
"Yeah, I don't feel like waiting in all honesty, the security here already is pretty low, I'm actually already surprised that you have cameras installed and all."
Aria laughed.
"Come on now, were your expectations truly that low?"
"In all honesty, yeah. Anyway, there is a gun behind the pot at the front door, one under the table in the living room and one in Valentina's hallway behind a drawer."
"Alright, thank you."
"Also, Aria, between you and me I've already gotten revenge on Valentina for letting me sleep in the basement."
Aria looked a bit confused.
"So quick already? What did you do?"
"I think you will see pretty soon..."
Right when Leo said that Valentina entered the room.
"Couldn't you wait for five minutes Leo so I could give you the paperwork to hand over to Aria? Now I have to walk over myself."
Leo shrugged.
"Some excersise would do you well, you should probably also buy a treadmill."
Valentina didn't even bother arguing with Leo anymore since it wouldn't go anywhere.
She threw some papers down on Aria's desk and started walking out the room.
"Here Aria, all transactions are approved by me." said Valentina as she left the room.
Leo started laughing when Valentina left the room and Aria was confused until she took a look at the papers.
"How the hell did you manage to spend nine thousand dollars on furniture!"
Leo only laughed harder upon hearing Aria's reaction.
Aria continued.
"Also how the hell did you even get Valentina to approve of this! This is what I get paid in three months!"
"Isn't this the perfect petty revenge?" said Leo through his laughter.
After another minute of laughing Leo finally calmed down a bit and wiped the tears out of the corners of his eyes.
"Well, yeah. It is a pretty good revenge even though nine thousand dollars isn't really that much for Valentina."
"Wait, it isn't much for her?"
"No, not really. Each month I have to make the income reports for her and you'd be surprised how much she would often make, I've had times where the profit was in the millions."
Leo was a bit surprised by Aria's statement, he expected Valentina to make a lot of money but he had no idea how.
"Where does her income come from though?"
Aria winked.
"That is up to you to find out."
