Since Valentina was the main VIP that Leo had to protect, it would make sense to hide a gun near her so she can defend herself if it was needed.
Leo was mainly out for his own safety, but if something happened to Valentina he would also be fucked since she was his main backing at the moment.
If she somehow got killed Leo would be on his own again.
The freedom sounded nice, but it wouldn't do him any good.
When Leo arrived at the hallway to Valentina's room he looked around for a good place to stash the gun.
The last gun that was left was the revolver, and it wouldn't really blend in all too well.
There was a bit of furnishing in the hallway such as a couple small drawers, a bookshelf, and so on.
After a while Leo decided to tape the gun behind a drawer, that way Valentina could seek cover behind the drawer and shoot back.
The guns weren't really for self defence, but more for delaying the attackers.
It wasn't realistic for anyone to win against what probably would be a group of heavily geared trained agents who would probably have assault rifles, especially not with a revolver.
The idea was that it would stop the agents in place for a while or get the drop on them and take one out.
Take for example the weapon at the door, it wouldn't be suspected so you could easily take down one agent before retreating.
And in the case of them being prepared, Valentina or Aria could delay the agents by keeping them at a standstill, no one wants to get shot, after all.
They could delay their attackers until Leo would be able to get his MPX and clear some of them out.
However, Leo was not done yet.
He would still need to think of an escape plan.
He knew that if they were attacked by a proper force of twenty or more agents, there wasn't a lot they could do when it came to defence, all they could do would be an attempt to escape.
At this point, there was a realistic chance that the foundation or some other force might cough up twenty agents to take out Valentina or him.
He knew for sure that the foundation would definitely do it and if MC&D found out where he was they might as well, but they probably would hold off at first.
MC&D was more likely to apply financial and political pressure down on the insurgency until they got what they wanted.
Still, it was better to prepare for the worst, since now he was with a high profile target, and he himself was one as well.
Back when he still operated with MC&D, he never really was that involved with high-profile targets.
Sure, he would see Iris Dark and Percival Dark every now and then, but it wasn't anything special.
To other people, he was just your run of the mill combative.
Well, that was until they found out that he himself was an anomaly.
Now though, he was working directly with someone from the delta command, and he even was her bodyguard.
Valentina was an extremely high-profile person and Leo was with her practically 24/7, which would bring threats with itself.
Valentina had already told her that some people plotted to get rid of her in the past, but she was quicker than them, so Leo knew that the threat was real.
The fact that Leo was with Valentina as well would bring some problems as well, since it was more likely for people to look into him.
He half expected someone to attempt to bribe him or blackmail him at some point, so he hoped that no one would be able to find out he was an anomaly.
Haitao already knew, but he was Valentina's closest contact in the delta command so it wouldn't really be a major problem, he could be trusted.
Leo made sure not to tell anyone else except Haitao about it since it could cause some problems, he generally wanted to prevent people from learning that he was an anomaly, since it was a double-edged sword.
