"Wow! This place is even better than my previous apartment!" Chisato exclaimed as she entered the newly bought apartment.
Hearing her voice, Gu Yuena, Mahiru, and Amane turned to look at her. Amane couldn't help but ask, "Did you pick the lock on the door?"
Chisato responded mischievously, sticking out her tongue and saying, "Tehee!"
Amane sighed and responded, "I'll fix that later. I'm sure you somehow managed to break the door lock. Wait, wasn't it a smart lock? How did you bypass it?"
Chisato grinned mischievously and simply said, "Magic."
Chisato turned her attention to Mahiru. "Oh, are you new one? I'm Chisato, Fujimiya Chisato," she introduced herself with a cheerful tone, almost forgetting to mention her last name. "Haha, I almost forgot that I share your last name now," she added, glancing playfully at Amane.
"I'm Shiina Mahiru. But what do you mean by that?" Mahiru asked, not fully understanding the meaning behind Chisato's words.
"I mean, are you Amane-kun's new girlfriend?" Chisato clarified.
Mahiru blushed at Chisato's straightforward question. Glancing at Amane, her cheeks turned a shade of pink. "Oh, no! We just met today. We're not... um, we're just friends, I guess," she stammered, feeling a bit flustered.
Chisato grinned mischievously. "Well, well, the sparks are already flying, I can tell!" she teased.
Gu Yuena, who was busy typing on her laptop, glanced at Chisato. "Spare her from your teasing, or she might faint," she said, with a hint of concern in her voice.
"Yes, ma'am," Chisato replied, playfully saluting Gu Yuena. She then turned to Mahiru with a wink. "Alright, I'll go easy on you. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds for you and Amane."
Mahiru let out a nervous laugh, grateful for the break from Chisato's teasing.
"Amane-kun, your door is damaged," Amou said as she entered through the door upon her arrival.
Amane looked surprised at Kirukiru's statement. He quickly walked over to the door to assess the damage. It was clear that someone had tried to force their way in, causing the lock to break and leaving the door slightly ajar.
Amane turned to Chisato with a quizzical expression. "Chisato, did you break the smart lock because you couldn't bypass it?" he asked, slightly annoyed.
Chisato's mischievous grin faded, and she scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Uh, well... maybe I got a bit carried away," she admitted, realizing the consequences of her actions.
Amane shook his head, understanding that Chisato didn't mean any harm. He decided to fix the door quickly to make sure they were safe. He also had an idea to help Chisato.
"Chisato, I'll fix the door, but I have something for you too," Amane said, reaching into his pocket. He took out a stylish watch and handed it to her. "This watch has a special features. It can unlock smart locks like the one we had. It might be useful for you during your missions."
Chisato's eyes widened with excitement as she examined the watch. "Wow, really? That's amazing, Amane!" she exclaimed, genuinely grateful for his gift.
Amane smiled and nodded. "Just make sure to use it responsibly and respect other people's privacy, okay?"
Chisato nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely, I'll be really careful. Thank you so much!" She said, giving him a grateful hug and planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Stop flirting, you two," Amou said, rolling her eyes. "I know that you miss him, but you should have some consideration in front of a stranger," she added, pointing at Mahiru.
"Oh... um, don't mind me," Mahiru replied, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Chisato cleared her throat and straightened her posture. "Eh, are you jealous, Mahiru? You're free to hug him or kiss him," she replied with a playful smirk.
Chisato's playful smirk widened as she looked at Mahiru, clearly enjoying teasing her. However, before Mahiru could respond, Gu Yuena interjected with a slightly exasperated tone.
"Chisato, that's enough. Let's not make Mahiru uncomfortable," Gu Yuena said, giving Chisato a gentle warning glance.
"So, your name is Mahiru, right?" Amou asked, leaning closer and observing her face.
Mahiru nodded, feeling a bit surprised by Amou's close examination. "Yes, that's correct. I'm Mahiru Shiina," she replied, trying to maintain her composure despite the looks she was receiving from Amou and feeling slightly surprised by how fair her skin appeared.
"I see, so is she a new one?" Amou asked, looking at Amane and giving a thumbs-up gesture. "Why are you assuming that we have that kind of relationship every time I'm with a female friend?" Amane asked, rolling his eyes.
"Why not? Every time you're with a female, they end up falling for you. How many girlfriends do you have again? Oh, it's 4. The other two were in another country," Amou said, smirking at Amane.
Amane opened his mouth, but then closed it again and sat in the corner. "It's not like I want it. The three of you forced me into relationships with Gu Yuena and Chisato. And the other one was more of a political arrangement," Amane grumbled.
"This is the first time seeing someone having a problem from success," Mahiru said, smiling warmly as she watched Amane. "I'm surprised that all of you was getting along instead of fighting each other." she added, glancing at everyone.
"Heh," Gu Yuena and Chisato chimed in, noticing Mahiru's warm gaze towards Amane. "Mahiru, you finally wanted to join the harem? Welcome to the club!" Chisato exclaimed cheerfully, followed by laughter from Gu Yuena.
Upon hearing Chisato's statement, Mahiru blushed and covered her face with her hands in embarrassment.
