Chương 12: Behind You!

Dean slowed down after running for a few more minutes, his mind still filled with perverted thoughts. He arrived at the entrance of the village and started to walk slowly, careful not to attract any attention to himself.

As he entered the village and started walking through the streets, he couldn't help but notice the amazing structures that surrounded him. He stopped to look around, taking in the sights and sounds of this new and unfamiliar place.

He was surprised by how big the village was. There were so many people walking the streets, coming and going, that it seemed to be a bustling metropolis.

Dean snapped back to reality after he remembered why he was there. He had been so busy looking at the buildings and the people that he had forgotten his mission. He started looking for a bakery first to buy some bread for his friends before he went to buy the other things.

He didn't have to look for long before he found a store that sold bread and other baked goods. He headed there immediately, eager to get the food for his friends.

The young kid behind the counter greeted Dean with a smile as he entered the store and closed the door behind him. "Welcome to our store," he said.

Dean went up to the kid, who was no more than 10 years old, and wondered how he was allowed to work at such a young age. He was about to ask the kid when he saw an old man placing things on the shelves behind him.

Dean looked back at the kid and saw the resemblance between him and the old man. He knew that they were related, so he asked the kid.

"How much is the bread?"

The kid looked confused for a moment, as he had never been asked that question before. Then he responded, "Two loaves of bread for one copper coin."

As he heard that, Dean opened the bag that was in his hand to see how much he had. He was shocked to see that he was carrying a fortune around with him. He flinched in surprise.

"Give me twenty copper coins worth of bread, then," Dean said, placing the coins on the counter. He then put the bag in his storage, not wanting to get robbed and lose all his money.

The kid grabbed a few loaves of bread before he stopped, realizing that they didn't have enough for the order. He looked back at the old man, who was watching him with a smile.

"Grandfather, we've run out of bread. Can you make a few more?" The old man, who was at the back, looked at the kid and shook his head silently. He then went back to what he was doing.

The kid looked at Dean and apologized, bowing his head slightly. "I'm sorry, but we ran out of flour today. I managed to find 14 loaves for you, though. Would you like anything else with the rest of your coins?"

Dean stayed silent for a few moments, looking around the store. He then spotted a small cake on the shelf behind the kid. "Can I have that for the rest of my money?" he asked.

The kid looked at what Dean was pointing at, then nodded and went to grab it for him.

After he returned, he placed the cake on the counter and gave Dean two copper coins in change. Dean quickly put the coins in his pocket, grabbed the cake and the bread, and put them in his storage. The kid watched in surprise as the huge amount of bread disappeared suddenly into thin air.

"How did you do that?" The kid was amazed at what he was seeing. He had never seen anything like it before. Dean smiled when he saw the kid's excitement. He leaned on the counter and said in a cool voice, "It's just a little thing that Heroes like me have."

As soon as the kid heard that, the excited look on his face disappeared, replaced with a look of disgust and anger. He grabbed his broom and started sweeping the floor, ignoring Dean completely.

"Thanks for shopping with us," the kid said, his voice was cold as he continued to clean up the store. Dean stood there, confused about what had just happened.

Dean turned around and started leaving the store, glancing back at the kid a few times. He didn't know what had just happened. The kid had seemed so excited to see his powers, but now he was just angry. Dean didn't understand why.

Dean stood in front of the store for a few moments, trying to process what had just happened. He was still confused about the kid's reaction, but his attention was soon snatched by something else. He saw a carriage approaching, and in the back were a bunch of girls with animal ears.

"Demihumans!" Dean exclaimed as he started following the carriage, which was heading deeper into the village. He had completely forgotten about what he was here for, so captivated was he by the sight of the girls with animal ears.

Outside the village, Adam and Jasem were sitting under a tree. Zachary was tied to the tree on the other side of them.

Jasem, who was playing with the dirt beneath him, looked up at Adam with a thoughtful expression. He had just remembered something important.

"Did you bring a map with you?" Jasem asked Adam, who shook his head in response and went back to throwing rocks at the trees around him.

Jasem clicked his tongue in annoyance as he started playing with the dirt again. He was second-guessing their decision to run away so early.

He thought that they could have waited a few more days to learn more about how this world worked before making such a momentous decision.

As the two sat silently, lost in their own thoughts, Zachary began to stir behind them. He had been knocked unconscious by Jasem a few hours earlier, and was now slowly coming to.

Zachary let out a faint groan as he started opening and closing his mouth. His jaw was aching from the punch Jasem had given him, and he was trying to work the bones back into place.

After opening his eyes fully, Zachary looked around and saw that he was tied to a tree with his own clothes. His pants were missing, and he realized that they had been used to tie him up.

Zachary stayed silent for a few moments, his mind racing as he tried to remember what had happened to him before he passed out.

"Jasem!" Zachary called out, his voice hoarse from disuse. Adam and Jasem, who had been sitting nearby, stood up immediately and turned to look at him.

Zachary, who felt a movement behind him and was able to see their shadows, started speaking. He knew who these two were.

"Heroes? Why are you doing this to me?" Zachary shouted, his voice filled with anger and confusion. Jasem and Adam looked at each other, neither of them sure what to say. Zachary shouted again, this time even louder. "Answer me!"

As soon as Zachary started raising his voice, Jasem stood up and walked over to him. Zachary stopped shouting immediately, his eyes widening in fear.

"Sorry, man, but we have to do this," Jasem said to Zachary. Zachary was confused. He didn't understand why the heroes had kidnapped him.

"Why? What did I do to deserve this?" Zachary asked, his voice filled with both anger and fear. Jasem looked at him, but he didn't say anything. He just looked at Adam, who was still standing behind the tree.

"Come and talk to him, I don't know what to say," Jasem said. Adam stared at Jasem for a few moments, his expression unreadable. Then, he sighed and walked over to Zachary, standing in front of him silently.

"Well?" Zachary said, staring at Adam. Adam was silent for a few moments, choosing his words carefully. He didn't want to reveal too much to Zachary, but he also knew that he had to say something.

"Unfortunately for you, my dear teacher, you saw something you didn't need to see," Adam said. Zachary stared at them silently, hoping that they would explain more to him. But the two stayed silent, which made him start shouting again. He was more nervous than before after what Adam had said.

"HELP!" Zachary shouted, but Adam quickly took off his shirt and stuffed it inside his mouth, making him unable to speak. The two looked at each other, and Adam shook his head a few times, signaling to Jasem.

"Come on, do the thing" Adam wanted Jasem to punch this poor man out cold again. But Jasem shook his head as he answered "Nope, I did it last time, it's your turn now."

Jasem looked at Adam seriously, his eyes narrowed. "You're the only one who hasn't done it yet," he said. Adam sighed. "Come on," he said. "You're the stronger one here. Do it, and I'll crack your back for you later tonight." Adam said, offering a compromise.

Jasem thought about the offer for a few moments, weighing the pros and cons. In the end, he shook his head in refusal. Adam started begging him, not wanting to do it himself.

As the two argued about who would knock Zachary out this time, he was trying to say something to them. He looked more afraid than they had ever seen him before, his eyes wide and his face pale. He was kicking and wiggling, trying to free himself from the clothes that bound him to the tree.

"Humph humph huuuumph!"

Adam and Jasem, who noticed that Zachary was acting strangely, went and stood in front of him for a few moments. They then slowly removed the shirt from his mouth, curious about what he had to say.

As soon as they removed the shirt from his mouth, he shouted as loud as he could, "Orc behind you!" He was looking at something behind the two, and his eyes were wide with fear.

The two immediately looked back to see a big green creature charging towards them, wielding a club in his hand. The creature had an ominous look in his eyes, and his expression was one of pure rage.

"What the fuck is this shit?!" Jasem exclaimed, his eyes wide with fear. He had never seen anything like this creature before. Adam, on the other hand, was so shaken that he fell to the ground, his body trembling slightly.
