As the soon and moon alternated the Konoha shinobi finally reached the village.
The journey to the village was not a fast one due to the seriously injured people in the team. The originally few days trip to return took full ten days to avoid aggravating the injury.
After returning to the village, all the ninjas dispersed without saying much.
Sora, Orochimaru, and the others were all sent to Konoha hospital.
Orochimaru and Sora were fine except for chakra depletion and fatigue but Mitsu and Aoi had major injuries.
Especially Mitsu, He used a secret Genjutsu technique of his clan to save his life and Aoi by dropping hints to make their presence very low. Thankfully, The jonin were focused on Sora and others so they didn't pay attention to two genin otherwise they might have not survived.
Such genjutsu technique covering a large number of shinobi is very chakra consuming especially for a genin like Mitsu.
Mitsu had forcibly squeezed every ounce of chakra in the process damaged his meridians, the major acupuncture points in the body were all occupied by the replenished chakra with seemingly no path, making him unable to mobilize his body.
This time the village had assigned the best medic to treat two of them after all their injury was for the sake of the village and their identity is still there.
.....
Sora waited in the hospital corridor for the treatment of Mitsu.
It has been half a day since all of the Konoha group was sent to the hospital. Sora was released only after a brief check-up as he was not injured.
Aoi was also quickly healed after all her injuries though serious were only flesh wounds which may be troublesome in his previous world but in this world, it can be cured easily by a good medic with the proper healing jutsu.
Aoi was currently being visited by the people of her clan so Sora was waiting for Mitsu.
Kurama clan is an almost extinct clan in Konoha though they were very prestigious. There are only a few members currently alive in the clan, Mitsu being one of them.
So, Sora was waiting for the treatment of Mitsu as his other clan relatives were on a mission.
The door of the ward was pushed open with a squeak.
Sora turned his head to look at the approaching medic.
The medic ninja looked at the jonin vest of Sora and saluted then he opened his mouth to speak, "Lord Sora your teammate Mitsu Kurama is alive after an operation but he is in no state to mold chakra again. His meridian has snapped off due to the overexertion of chakra and it will hamper his ability to mold chakra properly."
"I know that Sir Mitsu is your teammate, so I hope you persuade him to give up being a ninja as he might die if he continues this profession. As a medic, this is the only advice I can provide. He is currently sleeping, you can see him if you want to?"
Sora listened to the news with a grim face, he then nodded as he walked to the ward where Mitsu is sleeping.
Sora pushed the door of the ward with a squeak. Mitsu was sleeping in the bed as a white blanket covered him.
Sora looked at his friend with a sad face as the medic's voice echoed in his ear.
Sora opened the window as a wind breeze swept his white hair and his brows also gradually relaxed and his eyes also showed an unrecognizable emotion.
When being reborn in this world, Sora was quite a taciturn person especially after losing everyone he loved and coming to this unknown world. He was polite to others but kept a distance from others for fear of developing bonds with others and forgetting the bonds he had developed in his previous life.
But Human beings form invisible bonds with each other knitting them into groups, communities, or pairs, destroying their atomicity, making them interdependent rather than independent, parts rather than wholes, joined together rather than solitary.
Sora tried to escape from these invisible bonds as they had become the source of grief and pain previously but he had formed these bonds again with other people realizing that it is also the locus of the greatest human happiness.
He wanted to indulge in these bonds but then again warned himself. This is the world of shinobi. If there is a tag for the shinobi it will be death itself.
Sora was bombarded by two sides of thinking. His emotional side is constantly lamenting the loss of his good friend, beating himself, blaming himself for not being there when they needed him. What if he is reborn! What if he has the mystic eyes of death perception! What if he is a genius if he could not even save his friend.
His rational side feels that this could not be helped. He is not a Buddha feeling great compassion, always feeling that he owes others, can not see the suffering of others, and carry everything on his shoulder.
He is a human and he has already done the most for his friend. Even till exhaustion, he killed the enemies and finally helped Orochimaru to finish the decisive battle so that his teammate can see a glimmer of hope.
If the battle prolonged any further, they might have died. If he had not attracted the attention of Jonin they might have died. If he had not killed the group of chunin and genin, they might have died.
So, his rational side feels that he has done enough. If he continues to dwell on such a thing he is nothing but a hypocritical person. He is not a protagonist who can always be lucky and save his friend at a critical moment.
Just as Sora was entangled, the eyelashes of Mitsu slightly twitched.

A/N: The mentality of Sora is discussed in this chapter. After all, Sora is a human being and a human being is full of contradictory emotions. Though my execution seems a bit off due to my immature writing style.
