Modriel's massive body basked under the night. His wings retracted to his back. His figure could be traced out through the firmly fitted armor. The black lustered. The lines of gold made a runic pattern across his chest and spiraled around his arm as well as the heels of his boots. Sheathed to his left side were two swords. His long light locks rested smoothly down the back of his head and his eyes were icy, void of any emotion.

Lucifer watched him with disdainful eyes.

"You know, of all the angels I imagined would try to pull this off, you never crossed my mind. Not once," he mumbled as he slowly rose from Cortez's body. "I have to hand it to you, you were quite deceptive."

"There was no deception in play here, Lucifer," Modriel replied. "All I did was play on your pride and arrogance."

"Who is he?" Henry inquired. Lucifer and Modriel were a few feet apart from each other. He sensed the birth of a showdown.
