“I would ask you why, Jasmine, but I know and you know nothing you can say will make it better. So, I won’t ask you. Now I’m going out for a few minutes to clear my head and reflect on what just happened. If you are here when I get back or if you’re not here, I really don’t give a damn,” I said, getting up and heading to the door.
“Baby, don’t walk out. Let’s talk about this,” Jasmine said standing up and giving me a pleading look.
“What is there to talk about?” I shouted. “You just sat her and admitted you lied to me about going to hang out with your friends when you drove down to see your ex. I can’t believe you betrayed me like this for someone who you swore out made you feel too dumb to pour piss out of a boot.”
“I know what I did was wrong and I’m so sorry. I would have given anything not to hurt you. All I planned to do was just have lunch and come home. I didn’t mean to go back to her apartment…”
