The doctor eyed Marc. “Alpha Clavier, does Alpha Thierry need a sedative?”

Marc spoke up, “Alpha Thierry does not need a sedative. I need to see Colin. Please, can I see him?”

“I have to test you for MRSA and Pseudomonas, both can cause severe infections in surgical patients. You’ll have to wear hospital supplied disposable scrubs, paper booties and a surgical mask and hat to see him. There is a shower outside the ICU with antibacterial soap. Take a shower and put on the scrubs. By the time you finish, he should have been transferred from recovery to the ICU.” The doctor swabbed Marc’s nose and mouth. “I’ll expedite the labs.”

“I’ll strip down completely if that makes it possible for me to go to him. He must be frightened and think I deserted him.”

The doctor left with the swabs to go to the lab. Marc paced back and forth waiting for the results of the tests for infection.
