I was lying on my side and admiring Duke's sleeping profile.

I could do that all day and not get bored of it.

If there was a perfect man in the world, he was right next to me. Handsome and beautiful all over and he loved me with care and passion that even the Gods would envy.

And to think that there was a time when I gave up on him, when I thought he didn't love me. I was such a fool.

It's been three days since Duke marked me, yet it felt like only moments passed. We made love numerous times, barely getting out of bed only to freshen up and grab the food Maria left at the door for us.

The mark on my neck was super-sensitive under Duke's touch, and it felt like our connection was more profound, like I could sense his emotions. There was desire and yearning and insatiable need that gets fulfilled only when our bodies are merged as one, yet it was never enough.
