Chương 7: SYSTEM
Roan was delighted, not because the beast was killed. The kill he stole got him a beast soul, this was the reason for his happiness.
He paused for a moment before being shocked. It was not enough that he got lucky and gained a beast soul. He got the message that his bloodline awakened just now.
Normally a bloodline awakening requires practice. or It might awaken when a person goes through something dangerous.
Rarely there are cases when just doing something will accidentally awaken the bloodline.
He tried using his bloodline. He wanted to know what the numbers 267 referred to.
He tried and the system menu opened up. He was in no hurry so he first checked on system if there are some changes in 267.
What he saw made him frown. There were no changes but when he tried using the blood power only the system showed up.
Roan was smart, more than anything. He checked the system again. He saw the message about instant level up. He was not sure what it meant.
The system showed stats but it never mentioned level of a person. It only used it for beasts.
He tried clicking the instant level up message for more details but remembered that it did not have that many functions when he tried before.
To his surprise the message opened up.
[ Bloodline system 267 awakened ]
[ killed an intermediate tier beast, instant level up ]
[ Gained Beast soul ]
Three System messages opened up. He noticed that the name of his bloodline was SYSTEM 267.
"If I am guessing correct then my bloodline actually activates me a system. But now that everyone already has a system, how is mine different?"
He chose instant level up. His new status menu gained few more options.
Now that he checked the system he understood what his bloodline was. It was actually showing a level 1 on top of his status.
His new system had a color mix of black and red.
The size of his system was surprisingly the same as the one provided by Nates.
He closed the status menu, sat still just breathing for a while.
He felt himself calm down, then opened his system window.

He checked the stats it was same as before. He saw the stats point, he already knew what he had to use it for. Even if he did not play video games, it was his bloodline. He knew how to use it.
"Aren't we lucky, a beast soul and a system. I have 5 stats point. If I use it all now, it would be enough to hunt any intermediate tier beast I come across."
"2 stat point in Stamina, 2 in Agility and 1 in Strength" He distributed all 5 stat points.
Energy filled his body, his muscles stiffened, bone creaked a little. Sweat run down his hole body. It felt as if he absorbed another beast crystal.
After two minutes, his body stabilized. He felt his body power increase. He swung his fists, ran a long distance, climbed a 12 meter tree up.
His stamina certainly increased, the power in his punches grew too. He could run 100 meters and back in a mere 5 seconds.
He did not feel tired after consecutively doing all of it. Suddenly he had an idea, he placed the fire element crystal in his hand and started refining it. A system Notification came up asking
[ Absorb intermediate tier beast Crystal - Accept/Reject ]
He quickly selected the accept option. The crystal in his hand vanished.
A notification popped up showing the increase in EXP points
[ Gained 120 EXP points. EXP - 120/200 ]
[ Fire affinity + 2 ]
Another notification simultaneously popped up.
"I absorbed an intermediate tier Crystal and gain 120 exp points. It will certainly be easy to level up if I absorb one more" he assumed.
"Fire affinity is the same as increase in efficiency with fire control. If I learn an attack related to fire element it will be more effective than any other."
"I don't know if grandpa has a system. He is strong and has a space element proficiency. It can mean that he put a lot of stats in his Strength stat."
"I don't know for sure but it is a bloodline power. If he does not have it then it means I inherited it from my mother." He guessed the chances if his grandpa has same bloodline ability.
He never got to know about his parents, except for their names and their work. He did not know if they were form different families or what ability they had.
"An ability such as this is very strong. If a family actually has it then it must be a top of main 4."
"Nates are mainly the tech family, their bloodline has something that helps them create but they are weak, so they can't be system holders."
"Whites are mainly space ability users with some being proficient in effectively using water and ice"
"Demas family is mainly dark people they use all sort of witchcraft, illusion and shadow ability"
"It only leaves William family, their main strength is fire ability and strong body but strong body can be acquired with other methods."
"Even grandpa has a strong body so it is more likely to be White family. Though, grandpa said that he only uses white name because he joined the family later and is not blood related."
"It's more likely that grandpa's family has this bloodline. Even among top family they don't know him as an outsider of White family. They treat him as if he shares blood with whites."
"If the Nates not already launched the system, I might have thought that I am over thinking. But with them launching something very same as my bloodline means either they know about system or someone who owns it gave them."
Whatever the case might have been he did not know but it was clear to him that people holding his bloodline hid themselves.
There must be record of people having this strong and interesting ability but he never knew something related to it. Even when Nates created it, it was claimed to have been first such system.
There was no reference if it was based on someone's ability.
With his ability and his grandpa's words about his safety made him feel things were lot more complicated than it appeared to be.
He cleared his mind no longer thinking of such issues. If anyone knows about his system then it could be explained with his training in the hunting space.
He was still inside the cave the snake went in. The body of snake was lying dead close to him. He dragged the 5 meter long body of snake deep inside the cave.
He used his knife to cut the snake's body in pieces. The giant snake was cut into pieces of meat. He came out of his cave with a piece of meat.
While coming to the mountain he had seen a lake. He sprinted towards the lake with meat in his hand. The lake was currently not occupied by any beast.
He cleaned the blood off the meat thoroughly. After splashing it with water two more times he rushed back in Forest.
While running he broke some branches off the tree for firewood. He reached his cave then went deep inside. Some small creature were already there veraciously eating the snake's body.
He did not care for the rest of snake. The meat with him was more than enough for now. He could kill more beast to get fresh meat than to care for the dead snake's body.
He dragged the dead snake back to where it played dead In front of bear.
He left the body their for other beasts, to ensure no one enters his cave.
He used his essence energy on the branches he brought. The branch started burning. It did not matter if a ranker had a certain element or not. Such little use of any element could be made by them.
He roasted the meat in fire. When the meat was done, it smelled delicious. It had only been a day of hunting but he already killed three intermediate tier beasts. He was hungry and tired. He used his small knife to cut a piece of roasted meat then placed it in his mouth.
The food tasted delicious, energy filled his body with only one bite of meat. He continued stuffing his mouth with the meat, it took him a while to finish the meat. It was night already and he was full to the brim.
He checked the map on his phone to gain location of people around him. The second group was formed, but It did not notify him like the first group creation did.
The other students were now all resting. No one moved from place to place in the forest in dark.
He checked for the number of crystals a group hunted but no group seem to have hunted one yet.
When he was going through the numbers he reached number 20 and saw a basic tier beast crystal in beast killed column.
20 was the only one who hunted and scanned a beast. He was not in any group, when checked on map Roan saw that 1 and 20 were together.
It must have been that they together hunted it. A pair of two could not form a team. Hence, only one of them scanned the hunted crystal.
