"Is it the game like system the Nate family created?? It really is like I am in a game."
"Isn't it a little late to activate it now? It is already dusk , I could have done better if I knew the stats of beasts in the forest"
"It might be that only after you absorb a beast crystal the system will activate, It must have huge energy requirements for its activation."
"Professor did not mention anything about how the system will activate. I thought the system has already been integrated in the watch."
"Maybe because I refined a beast crystal the integration came in early. It would have been set for it to wait one or two days before its integration"
"I don't think anyone else could have activated their system by now. If what it requires is an intermediate tier beast crystal then only after two or three days will a normal human be able to hunt and refine a crystal"
"It is different if basic tier crystal can activate it. Though, I don't think without teaming up someone will dare to refine a beast crystal alone."
"It will take an hour at least to absorb a basic tier Crystal if their sutra and elements are compatible with the crystal." thought Roan
His watch beeped, suddenly a map opened on screen, it showed the location of four students forming a team.
They formed the first group in the training space. The group was named FIRST in dark blue color, with a number #1 representing group rank
Under the group name, four different numbers appeared. [ 3, 9, 16, 17]
Four numbers were representing the four students.
The map was minimized. It grew small enough for all the numbers from 1 to 27 to come under the map.
On the top left of Roan watch's screen, number 7 appeared. His number on map seemed to be close to a group of three students numbered 10, 23,19.
When he checked all the numbers representing location on watch, he noticed two groups of 3 students. But they did not form group.
Others except for these group were traveling solo.
A request from number 10 came asking to form a group. He did not accept or reject the request.
There was an option to send text back to number 10. He messaged 10 " Why don't you three form a group?".
A reply came quick" Only four or more students can form a team". After he got message he checked his watch for the option to form group.
The requirements were minimum four students maximum seven. To accept a request you have to be in 10 kilometers range.
After killing a beast the group would have to scan the beast crystal through their watch. The scanned crystal will rank the group.
There were no rewards mentioned for ranking but it at least showed the number of beast students hunted.
It would help him analyze the normal groups efficiency thus scanning an average number of crystals and not attracting a lot of attention.
"It is best if I start hunting from dawn tomorrow. Others have already made group, By tomorrow I guess four or five groups would be formed"
He turned off the location and focused on his system. The status bar showed his efficiency in numbers.
"I have different type of stats in numbers, the strength, stamina, agility and energy stats are things people can check only with the help of training machines"
"Though I do not know how accurate this is but the principal of measuring stats should be the modified version of those machines"
"The stats from those machines have slight error but overall they work fine. A normal human without training with a sutra has overall stats of 5 each."
"That makes me more than thrice stronger than normal humans. An average F rank has 10 stats, with an E rank being almost 20 stats each"
"That means if I get 3 more stats in strength, I would be ranked E. I never checked my bloodline but it shows a number 267" thought roan
Bloodline only became apparent after an individual reached advanced tier. In some cases the strong parents led to children naturally activating the bloodline when young.
Bloodline is power lying dormant in body. It boosts an individual in different forms. Some have a bloodline which strengthens their body.
Others have a bloodline which increases their affinity with a certain element. It varies from person to person.
Most people have bloodline which transforms their body into beasts. Humans have been hunting beasts for more than dozen centuries.
Eating a beast did not only increase their strength but also modified their bloodline. Very few humans have a bloodline not associated with beasts.
A person with bloodline could feel where their power come from. They could get an idea of their bloodline from their power.
In Roan's case he did not have anything special. He trained for years to reach peak of rank F. He could not get any idea from 267. It sounded like a program or test subject more than a beast.
"My grandpa in an epic rank. It is no wonder I will inherit a bloodline, but a number as a bloodline is strange. It could be that the bloodline has not been registered in the system" said to himself.
The system had an option to inspect he brought out the red snake crystal and used inspect on it.

the information on the screen was as accurate as it could be. It did not mention the blade like wing of beast but it would be obvious once you see it.
He closed the system, clutched his knife and got ready to search for a place to stay.
It could be easy to make a treehouse of wood for him. But it was not wise to rely on, when intermediate tier beasts roamed around. Not talking of wood even steel would hardly keep the beast from breaking in.
A small mountain could be seen in the north direction from where he sat. He climbed a tree quickly. The mountain had short trees than forest. The peak of mountain stood out in forest.
It was 18 to 20 meters in height from ground, it spread as wide as 200 meters. Some aerial beasts could be seen near the peak, above their two meters wide giant nest.
"If there is a mountain, there has to be a cave. It doesn't matter if an intermediate tier is guarding it. I have to secure a safe place to rest."
He ran at a comfortable pace toward the mountain. The distance between him and the mountain was around 800 meters.
He kept looking out for any beast while running. In five minutes, he reached the tree close to mountain. He did not want to provoke a beast needlessly. He took cover from tree and peeked.
He saw seven caves in the wide 200 meters mountain. A young bear of one meter in size was playing near the cave. It went to the cave closest to it. A huge black snake of 5 meters dashed and pulled the cub in.
Roan gulped, earlier he wanted to go in and check the cave out for any beast. He was glad that he waited for the cub to leave first.
He was strong but a huge snake like that would not even give him a chance to draw his weapon.
The bear cub screamed, he tried to struggle his way out of the snake's grip. A roar came, a giant bear of 3 meters rushed out from a nearby cave.
The bear saw its child about to die of strangling. It swung its giant metal like hand with hurry and smacked the snake. Snake's body was not fully covering the cub.
The part of it's body not affecting the cub was smashed. The snake emitted a loud hiss in pain.
It left the bear cub and leapt up on the mother bear
The cub ran off to its cave. The mother bear turned its upper body into metal. The giant snake's fang struck the metal bear's neck and broke off.
The bear seemed to have expected it. This time it used its both hand to hold the snake's tail. It swung the snake twice before smashing it into strong wall of cave.
The giant snake squirmed a little before stopping. The bear left seeing the snake dead.
After a minute of bear leaving the snake struggled to move it's body. It slowly went back in its cave
"It is a very smart beast. It knew the sneak attack has failed so it got beaten and played dead.I think I might not have to search long for a place." said Roan with a grin.
He watched struggling snake escape in its cave.
When the snake finally stopped looking around and sped up, then he followed.
The snake was on death's door. A normal slash would have been enough to reap its soul.
Roan followed, the cave was 20 meters deep. When the snake was halfway through the cave, he dashed in. With his full speed he swung his knife through snake's neck.
Its head fell off on the ground. The body of snake was already mushed. It struggled for like 5 seconds before stopping.
Roan was not sure if it was playing dead again. Then a sound played inside his mind.
