The sunlight warmed her up like a hug.
Kathleen moved a little, and Marchesa immediately woke up.
When she saw Kathleen, a happy smile appeared on her face. "Kathy, you're awake."
Kathleen nodded. "Mmhmm, you had worked hard yesterday. You should go and rest."
"No, I want to keep an eye on you."
"Grandma, you don't have to keep an eye on mommy because I'm here with my sister."
Tommy and Anne walked in.
Anne looked at Marchesa and patted his chest. "That's right, Grandma. You've worked hard all night. It's time for Tommy and me to take care of mommy."
Marchesa said gently, "The two of you are still children. How can you take care of Kathy? It's better for grandma to do it."
"That might not be the case." Tommy grinned and said, "I can serve tea."
Anne raised his hand and said, "I can bring water."
"I can massage the shoulders."
"I can massage the legs."
"I can tell jokes to mommy to make her happy."
