Chương 8: Ch.08
The boss is now struggling to stand himself up while the descenders are struggling to keep their wills and wits. Eventually, the boss made its first move and charge at the nearest descender and send him flying before going for the next, repeating this process until everyone is now down or unable to stand up again.
The descender was already tired from the whole fight and with their mentality shook it made them easy targets for the boss.
As the boss tries to walk away from his victory he stumbles and falls, leaving his head exposed. The boss no longer has the stamina nor strength to do anything but closes its eyes, in hopes that it will gain enough strength once it has rested.
Sadly, that's not going to happen since this created an opportunity for me to gain some levels and maybe even something good.
"Hey System"
[Yes]
"The more exp an organism within the abyss has does that correlates with the quality of the loot"
[Yes]
"What about quantity?"
[No]
Hearing that I was a bit disappointed but not entirely displeased with the answer.
"Alright, so where is the boss's weak point?"
[ Unknown]
"What? How come it's unknown?"
[This Boss is a new boss]
"What do you mean by the new boss?"
[Every floor has a boss but when that boss is killed a new one will replace it, however, it will not be the same boss]
"Oh I see, well then let's see if I can find a soft spot on it"
I hastily made my way towards the unconscious wounded boss, as I walk past the bodies of the descenders I could hear quiet cries for help, sadly for them, I can not help even if I try.
I grip my sword ready to strike or block if the boss does anything as I approach it.
As I walk towards the boss's head I heard a very weak sound coming from it.
"This thing is struggling to breathe "
As I stand looking down at the boss I could not help but feel a sense of pity for it.
"Rather than doing a chop, I'll just stab the creature at the top of its head, I believe that is where its brain is"
I held the sword up with the blade pointing downward at the boss skull and grip the handle tightly before breathing in and striking down with full force.
Upon impact the boss awake and got up on all four before thrashing around violently in an attempt to remove half of the sword that has not penetrated its skull.
It continues to struggle desperately before collapsing once again due to the pain and tiredness of the past and current events.
I watch as the beast fell and tries arising again but its effort were useless as it loses its grip on life and slowly closes its eyes for the final time.
When its eyes closed I felt a massive amount of unbearable energy within me, it was so much that I felt as if I was going to faint from just trying to stand before I fell to my knees grasping my chest.
As my body grabs ahold of itself the system notify me.

"I leveled up three times, not bad for my first boss"
As I regain my composure I quickly ask system to show me my status.
"Status window"

I smile as the thought of reaching level 6 in less than 2 days was not that difficult, but then again, I was lucky enough to finish off the boss that others fought.
"Speaking of others, I should check up on the descenders. I wonder if they are still alive and well?"
I arise from the ground and walk towards the closest descender who was currently grabbing ahold of his left arm. Sadly, this individual has lost the arm due to the projectiles from earlier caused by the boss.
"You alright there buddy?"
I ask nonchalantly, this was something I was expecting when I decided to become a descender I just didn't expect it to occur on the first floor.
The man looks at me as I stand in front of him for a few seconds before responding back with a rash voice.
"Help … me"
I stared at him and then at the items I have, sadly I have one blood crystal and I am planning to use that for myself when needed.
"Sorry friend, there's nothing I can do to help you"
After hearing my response I watch as the man's whole demeanor went from a sense of hope to full despair as he comes to realized that he will die inside the abyss. The man then lay down in the cold ground and let go of his bleeding arm, before dying of blood loss.
I stared at his bodies that was now being drained by the abyss before heading back to the boss to retrieve my sword.
As I pull the sword out from the skull I notice that the blade of the sword is still in good conditions, if I had used a kitchen knife the blade would have penetrate but the edge would have been severely damage.
Now that the boss is dead I should probably head back up but before doing that I have to make sure I collect the loot.
"Hey system, how long will it take for the boss to completely be merge with the abyss before it leaves behind my loot?"
[ 1 day ]
"One day? I guess that's not too bad, but what do I do before then?"
I look around aimlessly and have notice that there were others descender who were still breathing in which I have forgotten about.
"I should check up on them and see how they are doing"
I walk towards a woman who has a missing right leg and is currently trying to lit a torch.
"Are you alright?"
She looks at me with eyes that were full with rage rather than despair and reply's back with.
"Do I look alright to you!? I'm missing a faking leg and you thought it would be cute to ask if I'm alright!?! Piss off!"
With an attitude of an asshole and a response that is equally shit, I casually went towards the sneezy individual.
