These three days, ever since the day Finn and Grayfia disappeared, ever since the Rias found the truth about her brother, Rias always had felt extremely guilty for saying those words to Finn.
Not just Rias, even her father and mother also felt guilty. That day the family became over emotional and almost attacked the very person who had saved their loved one's life.
"Lord Zeoticus, Lord Sirzechs condition is getting worse. At this rate he will die in 24 days." Zeoticus nodded with his head with a guilty look.
Whenever he looks at his son's face, he remembers what he did to Finn. The Gremory clan was known for being kind to their benefactors, allies, friends and servants but few days ago Zeoticus himself broke that very code for which the Gremory clan is famous for.
"I have informed every big faction about the herbs necessary to make the cure. I am willing to pay any amount of sum just to buy those herbs but so far I have found nothing." Zeoticus looked at Rias and Venelana.
On the other side of the room other Sona, Mio and their peerage members quietly standing.
Rias bit her lips so hard that her lips had started to bleed.
In moments like this, Rias hated herself. She hated herself not being able to do something to help her brother and her family.
'But Finn can help. He said that he had found the Heart shaped Ice.' Suddenly Rias remembered the words said by Finn.
After 10 minutes Zeoticus, Venelana and others one by one left the room leaving Rias alone with her sleeping brother.
Rias took out the teleportation Kunai that Finn gave her. Rias had always kept the kunai wirh her.
Rias hands trembled holding the Kunai. In these 3 days, Rias has tried to use this Kunai numerous times but remembering the things she said to him made her hesitant.
Rias was afraid of facing Finn. She feared the consequences. She feared things will no longer be same between Finn and Rias.
'I have to do this for my brother.'
Rias gathered all her will power and poured her mana into the Kunai. The Kunai started glowing very brightly.
But 1 minutes passed nothing happened.
2 minutes
3 minutes
4 minutes
5 minutes passed nothing happened.
'Did Finn really abandon me?' Even though Rias felt she deserved this, the last remaining hope that she had in her heart also began to shatter into pieces.
Rias lowered her head as he sat on her knees. Tears began to fall down her eyes.
But then a shadow fall on Rias. Rias looked at her up and saw the most handsome man in her entire life.
For a moment Rias forget everything and stared at the figure with white hair in daze.
FINN!
Even though she have seen this figure so many times before, today she can't seems to stop looking at him.
Finn looked at Sirzechs and found that his condition was getting worse. Sirzechs now looked more pale and lifeless.
"Did something happened to Sirzechs?" Finn asked seeing that Rias was crying.
Finn's words snapped Rias back to the reality. Seeing Finn standing in front Rias wanted to hug him but she knew that she had lost that right.
Rias couldn't look into Finn's eyes so she looked at her brother. She replied in choked tone. "The doctor said that brother only has 24 days. We have contacted all the big forces and non of them have the herbs needed to make the cure." Rias paused as she forced herself, overcoming the nervousness and looked into his eyes. The moment her eyes met his, guilt began to squeeze her heart.
"Finn you told that you have found the Ice Heart Shaped herb right? Finn is it possible for you to find the other two herbs as well?" Rias couldn't continue to look at Finn as she was feeling really ashamed of what she and her family did to Finn and Grayfia.
Rias lowered her head as she nervously held the edges of her skirt.
"Finn, I know this sounds really selfish of me. But can you please save my brother. I know you're the only person in the whole continent who has the capability of saving my brother."
"I know we have said harsh and very insulting words to you. But please help us." Rias then bowed towards Finn.
Finn chuckled seeing the proud princess of Gremory was bowing her head in front of him.
"Rise your head Rias. I will finish what I had started. I have promised Grayfia to save Sirzechs. And I always keep my promise."
Rias stared at Finn. "Also for the record we kept quiet about Sirzechs not because we wanted to take over the Gremory clan or anything. We just wanted to not worry you all." Rias couldn't held back anymore and started shedding tears in front of Finn.
"Finn, I am really sorry. That day I just became too much emotional which clouded my mind. I wasn't thinking things through."
Sigh!
Rias froze when Finn suddenly started patting her head.
"Listen I am not angry about anything. The Gremory clan is my ally. I think you should give this apology to Grayfia. She have worked for your house for several centuries yet you guys said those words to her. She was hurt. Compare to Grayfia, I don't even come in the level of acquaintance."
At that moment Rias cannot describe how much relieved she felt when Finn patted her head. Rias felt the weight on her heart as been lifted.
"Where is Grayfia?" Rias gathered up courage and asked Finn.
"She living in my Mansion with my other girlfriends." Finn looked at Rias and saw her still hesitating. She looked like she wanted to say something.
"That day we left because of my emergency work. These three days we were fighting a war. Fortunately the war ended quickly."
Rias looked at Finn in surprise. She thought Grayfia and Finn had left for a different reason. It turned out she was wrong. Although Rias wanted to ask the details about the war she kept those questions to herself.
Meanwhile, Finn checked on Sirzechs body.
"Among the three rare herbs, I already have obtained one of them. Now I have to find the Dragon Grass and the Heart of Ice Elf deer."
Finn then opened the window and allowed the moonlight to enter the room.
Finn turned to Rias. "Don't worry. Your brother won't die. At least not under my watch. I will come back once I find the Dragon Grass and the Heart of Ice Elf deer."
Finn then without waiting for Rias to say anything, disappeared from his position. Finn moved so fast that Rias couldn't even see anything.
"Where did he go?" Rias walked up to the window. When she looked outside, her eyes widened in shock when she saw a blue streak of light moving in the sky.
"When did Finn become so fast? Did Finn recover his strength? But I thought removing the blood seal was impossible. Whatever I will ask him when I meet him next time." Rias kept looking at the blue streak of light until the blue light pierced the clouds and went above the clouds.
"Finn I wish I could tell you about the difficulty that we are going through." Rias smiled bitterly.
The news about brother spread in every direction. Now the Demon Faction was on the verge of attacking the Gremory clan. Serafall, Sona's big sister had to assume the position of Devil King to make thing stable.
Serafall managed to suppress other factions from attacking the Gremory but the Devil faction was not willing to back down and wage war against Gremory clan.
Finn flew above the clouds. Above the clouds, the beautiful moonlight reflected on Finn.
"First thing first. I want ny revenge against Undead faction." Finn closed his eyes as his senses spread like wave in all directions.
In Finn's estimation the Atlanta continent is 5 times bigger than elemental continent. Finn can sense the entire elemental nations so it was not that hard for Finn to search the entire continent.
"One thing I will alway remember is the mana signature that man from Undead faction had." Just remembering about the pain Finn had to go through, Finn almost leaked his suppressed killed intent.
The undead faction was also responsible for the deaths of Tio's Black Dragon race. Finn had a deep sense of hatred for those people.
Finn closed his eyes and tried to trace the mana signature that he hated so much.
A cold smile appeared on Finn's face as he found the thing he was looking.
"There he is. I am coming for you." The next moment Finn disappeared from his position.
