Every morning Byron and Haylee went to school separately.

Percy would pick up Haylee and drive her to school, while Byron walked or his father gave him a ride.

Seeing Haylee with that guy, in the car every morning, and walking hand by hand in the hallways, was really unbearable. It made him furious even though he knew they were just pretending. And that was the main reason why he hadn't accepted the blood of his Keeper friends. He certainly couldn't turn into a wolf in front of everyone.

Every time he ran into the happy couple, he just turned the corner and stayed hidden. But even though he couldn't see them he couldn't hold his imagination back.

«Hey what's wrong?», Selene was his only friend, since like him she had to keep away from that group because of Mark.
